5punk Lan, Brum

Post by Fred Woogle »

Morning all, I spoke to Loxy this morning, and she is going to give me details of a venue for a lan just outside of Brum, so for this to be done, we will need to agree a date and I will need 10-15 deffinate confirmations, I will speak to the venue when I get the details and let you know here. I think a good month will be february? What do you think.

Another GT Lan?
Or is this a fabled 5punk-Only Lan?

Fairly sure it's a 5punk only LAN, and it's not the first.

But that is likely to clash with the next GT Lan, unless you can all afford to go to both of course!!! We usually have ours during at one end of the half term week in Feb. I've yet to sort the date out for our next one.

I think you having a Lan is a great idea - but you've gotta come along to our next one too!

Desford Avenue (Great Barr) is pictured below.

One big room, kitchen with basic cooking like we have here at Brownhills (and an urn). No sleeping room though. Off street parking, two loos only. Local corner shop - supermarket is a car ride away. Closer to Birmingham than Brownhills and ideal for the smaller Lan. You do need to muck in at the end though, and leave the place very clean and tidy.

It's Dilbert's sheep:

Man under table is Garpy, our GB Quake player.

He's a cool addition to the GTLan's.....only misses them if he's not in the UK and is swanning off some place to game. Can YOU imagine being PAID to game for GB for a living - what a great career!
