Question about the torpedo supplies in ZX

Post by fabyak »

I assume these are in reserve for Station/ POS/ System defence?

POS reserve ammo is all in the hangars at the POS themselves so no need to worry too much about that. Anything in the hangars in Tycho is a combined pool for our use and for sale on the market. Everything is free to take with the exception of the T2 Torps - due to their expense we'd appreciate a suitable donation to the corp fund (they were bought primarily for resale but havn't sold very quickly).

It's in all our interests to keep the hangars stocked, for ratting, defence, and sales. Any help with minerals is greatly appreciated. Sources include purchase from Fw4ppers and hauled from Empire, anything you happen to mine in W9, and stocking loot drops in W9 which we'll run up to Distillery to repro sometime. The corp has buy orders up in Tycho too - please coord these with Passadiri so we don't conflict with each other.

Ta!

I figure that they will help me rat much faster and more efficiently as I only bother going for the BS's these days and they should spank them for at least double the damage im dealing atm so I should make it back quickly enough... is my plan anyway

And I can play with these while pimping my Jumpdrive skills (and saving up for the next skillbooks too)

You can make a good few mill (20 or so) from the longer missions but these can take anything up to 3 hours to complete and ofc from time to time you can pick up a juicy reward. Actually though, tag teaming level 4's can be great fun - 2 or 3 peeps taking a mission each in turn and having our bitch alts loot monkey after us. Repro the crap loot, sell the good stuff, keep the really good stuff...I've made enough minerals to build several Ravens this way (which I've recently donated to the 5punkelisk project). Can make a nice turn over if you do it properly.

We should run off and do some empire based level 5 or 6 complexes again too. Good fun if we can get people together. And does anyone know anything about COSMOS missions at all?

Just so you know fab, I dont think T2 torps would be such a good idea for ratting. The high damage ones seriously gimp your cap to the point you wont be able to tank and they need alot of target painters to do full damage. The high precision ones gimp your speed almost to the point that you're barely moving and are only better if you're fighting cruisers and frigs anyway.

You could still use T2 launchers with T1 ammo though which would get you better DPS than using a T1 launcher.

I have vague recollections of looking into this in the past Fea and I think the cost versus bonus isn't worth it (although that may have changed) and I *think* they degrade quicker than regualr ones

COSMOS? OOH! me me me! i know about cosmos! miss! me miss!

i've only done 2 cosmos missions mind, so i dont know everything. still got the bpo rewards.

they tend to be multipart important missions. the courier bits are easy (if a bit long, i.e. take 10000m3 of stuffs to this medium sec station 20 jumps away), and the kill missions are quite tough. some of the missions require a special skill (archaeology, hacking, angel encryption etc) but you only need that skill to find an item. if that item is on the market, then bonus!

the bpc's i got were basically the equivalent of best named gear (medium 425mm 'jolt' autocannons and a best named small smart bomb, 3 runs each) but with better fitting requirements. the problem with the bpc's is they need exotic stuffs to build ( the ac's need angel encryption skills).

i dont know anything about the faction ship bpc givers, apart from they need some silly high factional standings (i've heard you need 8.2, 8.5, and 8.7 for faction frigate/cruiser/BS respectivly)

Interesting. I wonder if there are any Ammatar Consulate ones - several of us have very high standings with them

That science programme had to get a Challenger 2 in to do it. Not sure they're on the market though :?
