It does look rather nice, which pleases me.

Constantine, on the other hand, (from the Hellblazer comics) is a fucking abortion. Avoid.

weeeeeeeell, I may have been a little harsh there. Its not that bad. But its really not that good, either.

And if you have read Hellblazer, it'll make you want to kill something.

On a side note; Apparently there is a Deadpool movie "in talks". Worryingly, its got the guy who directed Blade:trinity doing it. On the plus side, hes bringing the guy who played Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds) to play the 'pool. Which i think would be a brilliant bit of casting.

Well despite having never read the comics, I decided to go and see Constantine. I think it was just about average, but Keanu Reeves truly is the most appaling actor I have ever seen. I saw a trailer of the film version of 'A Scanner Darkly' and wept.

However, before the film was the new extended Star Wars trailer, which I have to say looks cocking good! Link:

Yeah, its like the review in the Times said: Its a bit too wierd and comic-bookey for most people, but its such a bastardisation of the comic book that it alienates the fan-boys too. Silliness.

When will people learn from films like X-men: if you want to make a decent film out of a comic book you have to take it seriously.

I watched Constentine on Friday, and both me and the missus thought it was fantastic!

It's like a dark and twisted version of Dogma, but with no Jay & Silent Bob

Just to clear things up in my brain, what DC comic book is Constantine a bastardised version of?

And what's the Bruce Willis film that I assume is shot in black and white called?

Constantine is based on Hellblazer. They called it Constantine cos they thought hellblazer was too close to hellraiser, which is fair enough really. I think possibly my view of it was horribly jaded by how different it was (the best example being Constantine himself, who's supposed to be from liverpool

). I might give it a second chance, it might be one of those films thats much better on the big screen.

The odd black and white thing with Bruce Willis is Sin City, which, from every source ive heard from so far, is looking to be Bloody Brilliant™. Although im sure Harrigan (Willis's character) is supposed to be a lot older than that, I think he'll be good in the role. The film looks genuinely stylish, which makes a pleasant change for a comic book conversion :D

V for Vendetta

Another 'graphic novel' based film. I've never read the book/comic myself, but it does look quite good. Worryingly it has the brothers who made the Matrix trilogy producing it. Apparently Alan Moore described their screenplay as "imbecilic" (although I do get the impression he loathes any of his work being made into a film).

I used 2 read goosebumps as a wee one, had loads of em! and then there was the collection of wallace and gromit fact file shitty things then it came 2 the ps1/2 mags. then when my dads bro unfortunatly passed away due 2 cancer at the young age of 31 he left all of his collectables in his will 2 me (and i didnt even no him....) along with an original unbanned uncut video of the texas chainsaw massacre and then i also received a suitcase full of Spawn comics.... OMG they are/were/still am teh pwnage! all kept in plastic covers, i even got the 1st issue! that suitcase full alone is worth £5,000 easy said a friend of my dads "antiueqe dude" but im not sellin them oh no.... these comics r fab!

jebus that was nice of him. i read LOADS of them goosebumps things, i used to be a pretty big bookworm when i was about 8-13. read the dandy and beano for about 4 years at about that time, got them all still too. id be very suprised if they are worth anything. nothing exciting though i must admit, most interesting thing i read at that time was the hardy boys i'd say
