Stupid computer

Post by Wiggy »

This is why Dell Computers are shit, and can't run more than one account at once. Because this happens.

However I am slightly concerned about the chat in the Fw4ppers channel - not enough swearing or sexual innuendo narf.

to avoid posting in the hardware section and being festooned with lots of clever tecchie speak, none of which I will understand ... what's your advice on a new puter?

I want to play Eve, eve and ... err, eve. Plus some Beef and stuff

I currently have a dell (I know, I know .. it was cheap) with 2.4 Ghz/1Mg Ram/64 Meg Graf card which is just not up to the new games on the market (mostly due to the grf card)

Oh, and I don't want to spend 10 thousand pounds on an Alienware or somesuch (well, I dio actually, but more accurately I can't)

How much are you willing to spend? The 3rd system down on here looks pretty good value and it'll run all current games: "Titan Vantage Complete" AMD Athlon 64 3500+ System (FS-016-OK).

Otherwise Pentiums are much much lower in price (relative power + cache wise compared to AMDs... I know AMD have been carving their prices but I dont know if that is being reflected in the stores yet, I suspect not...)
