New game for the bearded folk. Just seen the latest screenshots which gave me the urge to share with you awd gits. Check it out:

This game has everything, semi-clad ladies, lots of blood, beautiful graphics and a huge backstory. I will be donning my loin cloth and grabbing my broadsword... umm when they tell me when its going to be released (which I think will be due early 2007)

i like the idea that it's a mature game for mature gamers (hopefully this means the word "noob" will result in a perma-ban from the game)
but it doesn't really seem to bring anything that new to the table in terms of gameplay

There are quite a few features I have yet to see pulled off in recent MMOs

The game will be subscription based, and you will need to pay a monthly fee to play the game.

I can only really justify running one subscription based MMO at a time, and this is why they wont get me playing.

there are few features on that list that set it apart from the rest. the castle sieges seem like a good idea, but the only other different thing is the multi-point combat system, although alot of the new mmos are going towards a more action oriented battle system.

I think Oblivion actually had shortcut key for aiming for different areas of the body, but I never used it.

Trying to do too much in one game usually dilutes the enjoyable aspects, and I worry about trying to have a good single player story and make it workable online. Either, they keep the characters separate in which case the online bits might seem bolted on or just optional aside to the story, or they have them much more integrated in which case there will be cheating.

The only way they could avoid this is if single player mode still requires the character to be saved on online game servers - but that would likely mean you continue to pay monthly even if you never go online and use the servers you're supposedly paying for.

Better to just call it an MMO with a good story, which is set up so there are plenty of solo missions. However D&D said exactly this, but they were lying.
