I just had the standard b3ta gamers icon thing back when you joined, didn't I?Dog Pants wrote:Stoat's got something pretty short and accurate in his B3ta profile. Can't remember off the top of my head what, but I think it's what attracted me.
I have this now, though:

I like that.amblin wrote:(picture)

I like, but can I see an alternate version - Enlarged and cut-off 5punky, on a 5punk-blue background, with white text instead?amblin wrote:Quick and dirty, but I like the simple colourscheme and classic quote!
However, the logo top left has the b3ta gamers tag which I think should probably be worked into the bumper sticker. Also, it's on a white background here, but the psd has transparency, which if it can be done on the sticker, it should be...

Heh, yeah, that's what really keeps me from getting any sort of apparel or whatnot. When someone goes "5punk?" I don't want to explain that I'm wearing a big blob of jizz with a face on my chest. There's no way to come (no pun intended) clean out of that.Lateralus wrote:I think we need 'funny' but also avoiding something too directly like a porncarsticker, otherwise the wrong kind of people could be attracted.
I can't remember, but that's the one I was thinking of.Stoat wrote:I just had the standard b3ta gamers icon thing back when you joined, didn't I?

I'm with Nickface I'm afraid on the idea of splashing 5punk all over - I'm all for promoting the site but not by advertising it on my chest/car. Nothing to do with the site, I just don't go for that sort of thing - I even removed the sticker with the garage's name from my car window. Not that I'd discourage anyone else doing it, and god knows I've pimped it enough to my mates back home.
Always a good idea, but you've got to tweak the foibles of B3ta to get good attention. I'd love to post more but I don't have the time to post enough comments to get known and I don't have the hummus to post enough images. It'd be nice if B3tans could just find out about us themselves - there's a lot out there who play games and don't know about us. Don't quite know how though - direct pimping provokes a bad response and anything more subtle doesn't get noticed much. Some regulars like Strawb will find out by virtue of the amount of time they spend on the boards and so will see people's profiles, but often they don't really have the time for games.amblin wrote:Perhaps we need a new concerted effort to pimp 5punk on the b3ta board. Subliminal messaging or getting Rob on board may work! Only problem is I don't have time to make b3ta posts these days. Which is a bit of a shame, even though I was never in the league of Stoat, Eclectec, Mofaha, Jolly Jack, Strawberry Dragon et al.
pleanty of my friends and family have seen my 5punky mug, but nobody seems to be interested in being a part of it no matter how apealing it is to them. fact of the matter is, they couldnt give a flying dutchman and the main focus should be on how good it is for the wearer rather than the onlooker. thats my two pennies anyway
