you may not even have to change the PSU, they usually have a switch to change the input voltage.
However, remember that a fucking huge dell parcel coming into the uk *WILL* get hit with import duty (between 5 and 20% IIRC) and VAT.
prices wise i'll have a looksee what can be made for that sort of money, i suspect it'll be close.

Just had a run-through on site which cannot be mentioned around sheriff™
Should be possible to get close. if not undercut dell on that price.
Undercutting would require some consideration of components, for example the E6600 won't offer that much more performance over the E6400. and the E6600's 4mb cache is pretty much useless to gamers, won't offer enough performance for the £80-odd extra

lol. if they ever read this foum taking notice of us is the worst thing they could do. Let me introduce you to a secret little word Rupert Murdoch whispered to me once under a full moon ontop of stone-henge:
Allegedly
Being procecuted for libel is pretty hard. All you have to do is say "i think..." and then its your opinion, "allegedly..." its someone elses opinion. Only when you say "They are... " then you are promoting something as an (untrue) fact.
So;
Allegedly overclockers are fat and rasist!
Prob would make quite a good slogan. Suits the enthuisast pc consumer?

I'm not entirely sure it works like that in reality. (also remember that, iirc the site owner can be held as responsible as the person who posted comments)ProfHawking wrote:stuff
Anyway, the point is that company isn't really liked by quite a few people here, and it's pretty easy to refer to them as they who should not be named.

TANGENT ALERT!
That being said, actually winning the libel case would be quite hard for him, as its based on a number of things, one of which is the number of people who reads the libelous statement. 5punks doing reasonably well at the moment, member wise, but it probably wouldnt be enough people for the judge not to go "pfft!" and dismiss the case.
Of course, you could just say "I dont like overclockers, for reasons that would be potentially libelous to repeat", and you are perfectly safe, plus we know who you are talking about and that you dont like them for a reason other than "they are a bit shit" or some such.
Actually, you're kinda both right. Technically, Prof could be sued for saying all that. It doesnt matter if you say alledgedly or anything, merely repeating a defamitary comment someone else has said is still libel. Hell, theres been cases where people have successfully sued the *distributers* of newsletters that contained libelous statements, because the distributer knew about the statement.Dr. kitteny berk wrote:

This got me thinking of some ludicrous imaginary court scene that got me roffling:Joose wrote:it probably wouldnt be enough people for the judge not to go "pfft!" and dismiss the case
5punker defendant: "But, your honour...I believe you should see...this"
/slowly raises a picture of a crudely-drawn phallus
Judge: "Pfft!"
/dismisses case
I've very recently used the accused. The only problem I've generally had with them is that they charge £8 for courier delivery regardless of what you buy, but now I've also got a beef with the fact that they charged me for it as next day delivery but took a couple of weeks to dispatch my stuff even though it was all in stock. It was delivered the day after they could be arsed posting it though

My problem with them is not the service. It is with the owner. I have been a member of the forums there for many years and can safely say the guy is a first class cupcake.ProfHawking wrote:in all honesty, i dont have a problem with them. Ive ordered from them a couple of times and found the service to be decent. The prices are pretty ok. And they stock some specialist stuff that not many do.
Why dont you guys like them?
He is xenophobic, intolerant and runs those forums as if he were Lord and Master of anyone who enters them.
[In this space goes the recently written diatribe that I have decided against posting]
