A giant bronze horse makes a fantastic weapon, as Roman can testify.

Make sure to include Alyx giving it a blow job whilst G-Man does her up the arse with a melon on a plank and you have a sure-fire winnar.

Oooo, just played this properly and built a thruster-powered sofa-chair. I am likey. When I next have some spare time I'll join some 5punkers on a server and have some fun!

Is there a way to make vehicles move without thrusters for cars etc?

Also, where is the "invisiblise" bit for the pod things you sit in?

Wheels from the Wheel Gun can be powered with Page Up and Page Down.

Yes, the Color Gun has an Alpha slider.

If you download the map Grimmie linked to you can spawn a chair you can sit in- it's lighter than the Pod so you can do more with it.

So does that mean you just have to spin the wheels up as much as you can then hop on before it runs away? :? What about steering? I just did it using thrusters, but is there a "proper" way to do it?

I've got the map-pack, but can't remember the name of the map
Is the chair-generator thing built into the map somewhere? Press a button and out pops a chair?

If you like. You can still spin the wheels while you're in it though.

Thrusters are the most efficient way I know. I keep trying to find new ways though.

gm_ggc_buildmap_something or other. The console suggests commands, so typing map gm_ggc should give you the one you're looking for in a drop-down box.

Exactly this.

thrusters are required for any movement of an object (except the wheels created with the wheel gun). I have built working axels in the past but at the end of the day, you still need a thuster to turn the axel.

Ofcourse, you can always turn thruster sounds off and use the colour gun to make them invisible if you really want the illusion of a thrusterless turning system.

Anyway, heres my entry, I call it the Vampire landspeeder, although it is also a competent flying machine.

Maybe I should make this competition bi-monthly instead?
Seems everyone's getting their entries in pretty quickly!

In such case.. The closing date for the Car Competition is..

 TODAY!

Well, it's a lot easier to make stuff when you know the basics, like rotating and welding. Did someone say they were going to produce a gmod primer?

I made a basic cannon like Slinger's car shooting container last night, but without as much dynamite, and spent a good 30 mins trying out various projectiles. A vending machine was the best, loads of dead babies the worst.

I think I need a less destructible projectile

Hahaha, thats ace.

I too tried firing a pile of dead babies out of my cannon, but it failed. I may try welding them together into a deadbabycannonball.
