I concur. Just a handfull more people would make this a much more pleasantly spam free place. And it only needs to be a temporary fix until a more effective anti-spam measure is put in place.

Yeah, not like 5punkers cant be trusted init

is it possible to have a special admin group that can only delete threads/posts by people with less than 50posts to their name or something?

that way its only possible to delete newbies/spammers.

I'm still quite willing to offer myself as a mod for whatever sections need it.

I even behave. (i also got most of the spammers on the general forum before they had 2 views :ninja: )

apologies if i've started something unwanted here... I think a slight lack of sleep, it being early in the morning and having had no caffine may have made me over react slightly! I suspect I was first one on this morning so there looked like a lot of spam had got in.

Keep up the good work all the admins :)

have :pie: and :cheese: :w00t:

Indeed! Dont get the wrong end of the stick here, the admins do a good job, but they cant be around the whole time. If some limited spam crushing abilities were given to some other members, it would take the load off the mods, meaning that every 5punk visit isnt started with deleting a billion spam messages, which cant be much fun for them. Im certainly not saying the admins are not doing their best, its just that if the work was spread out a bit, they wouldnt have to.

That :above:

Basically we all know the admins are working their balls off to keep this place happy, and a lot of us are offering ourselves to help take the load off the admins.
