Nope, perhaps if all of 5punk buys it, but otherwise, nope.

I doubt I'll get it. I very rarely play SF, Armed Furry is a distant memory and I didn't bother with EF.
That, and no-one has had anything good to say beta.

The beta was terrible, It just didnt feel right and you could tell it had been rushed. I doubt they've had time to improve much since then so I wont be getting it, I'm waiting for Quake Wars

I'll be buying the game, whether it sucks or not I'll take the chance.

I'm joining the Quake Wars contingent here, since 2142 has little fundamentally different to offer to vanilla BEEF2 in my opinion, so I'm going to wait for something with more variety and less EA.

Historians would argue that I will purchase this, but I might have to show a bit of restraint for once. I have all three existing expansions, but apart from about an hour in SF have never actually played them.

Why not get both? That's what I plan to do. Although there's no guarantee Quake Wars will be any good.

Judging from the beta, 2142 sucks, so I probably won't get it.

I am still relatively new to BF2 as are a number of other 5punkers so I think I will give it a miss.......... for now.

That's probably the best reason *not* to get 2142,
2142 had me totally bored of it in hours.
Seriously, if you wan't a change in beef, try PoE, it's beefy and different so all is well
