Bloody ipods

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Bloody ipods

Post by Chickenz »

Ok to make a long story short my complete tool of a neighbour bought an ipod video in the gulf. The piece of shit works ok but for the love of god shitunes refuses to let him transfer video across, i suggested checking to see if like my creative it would appear as a removable drive but alas it hasnt. Do any of you know of an itunes variant that will allow him to transfer videos across whilst totally bypassing shitunes.

Ta in advance

What format are the Vids?

They need to be in MP4 format before you can transfer them, I have a Zen, but all my m8s, and my sister, have Ipods.

If you can get quicktime pro (There are ways of getting it for free, by internet cleverness) you can convert your video files to MP4, then load them onto the iPod through iTunes. Would probably be easier to do this than fiddle with another peice of new software.

It requires a very specific format and size before iTunes will accept it, we had a lot of trouble with my Dad's.

Searched the web for video converters which specifically mentioned iPods, but had to mash the video to the correct resolution first in Ulead Video Studio. It still took about 25 attempts, so I'd recommend getting the process sorted using a very short clip first.
