The EVErs, and I thought it'd never happen. Turns out shooting stuff in space is just as fun as shooting stuff on Earth.

The Great War is upon us.
Every faction is brought together, history forgotten, in a fight for survival.
It's the Universe vs. Gunslinger and it'll be going on for eternity.

I'll never go down there! Never! I'm going to play EVE like I play any other game. Wandering off by myself and killing stuff. I'm not going to plan out attacks and stuff!

Yes, all the scheduled eve makes my scheduler gigantic and white.
*remembers the good old days when there were about five different games listed there, all green because I'd joined them*

its on every day. People are not.

ok, so people in general are. But "Its on every day, but 5cheduling it is usefull to make sure that lots of people are on at the same time so they can do things as a group, in the way the game is designed, to the enjoyment of all involved, rather than people logging on at different times and therefore not being able to achieve quite as lofty goals" didnt seem quite as snappy.

Because simply put, that's no-where near enough info. You need to know what to fit your ships for.

Does that work for BEEF? Or any of the other games that regularly fill up the 5cheduler? Sometimes 3 or 4 times in one day? Just cos you don't play this game I don't see why it upsets you so much that we've scheduled a couple of sessions. Honestly, I can't see your problem with this. Isn't this what the 5cheduler was designed for after all?

And besides, wtf happened to the all be friendly in 5punk thing? I've never felt so unwelcome as these last two days when you suddenly and quite unprevoked decided to have a go at the game that I (and quite a few other 5punkers) rather enjoy.

Right, I'm nipping this in the bud 'cos I'm sick of the arguments. There's nothing wrong with having so many Eve games scheduled, in fact it's a good thing for the Eve players. The scheduler's perfect for arranging stuff in a game where you might need a few hours in-game prep.
Yes, if you don't play Eve and the scheduler has four Eve games scheduled it might be inconvenient, but IIRC nothing was scheduled until thursday anyway until I put the COD game in. Also, Stoat has said in another thread that he'll be able to put in a felcher so it's only a temporary thing until that gets sorted out.

:above: THIS :above: YES :above:

We are all supposedly gentlemen here...... so yes, stop argueing, or we will start to loose what 5punk is all about.

Some peopel hate eve (I did untill recently) some people hate beef, so lets deal with it and get it done with. Or someone will start hiring hitmen I think.
