More bits!

- Flying into the Death Star in X-Wing Alliance
- Omaha Beach in Medal Of Honour ( I died 36 times before I even got to the beach, I counted deliberately to try and get a sense of how impossible the real landing probably was).
- Carting supplies to an ISS egg along with dozens of other haulers in Eve, while gigantic mercenary capital ships blast each other with superweapons because they're bored.
- First encounter with TS + AIDS Cannon + 5punkers in COD:UO.
- First fleet warp in Eve. It's a spectacular sight to see other ships in formation with you as you roar and shake through space.
- Watching artillery tear up the ground and hurl corpses around in Company of Heroes.

Hmm..

- First PvP fight in EVE, nothing else in a game has beaten the adrenaline rush I got from that fight, plus I kicked his ass so that helped.

- Shitting myself as a marine in AvP, god I love that game "AAAH! A BEEP! A BEEP!!!"

- So many moments in the Prince of Persia games when I just thought "that was so cool... how on earth did i manage that?!"

- When I jumped over a rocket on UT and then headshotted the guy who fired it with the ripper, while I was still in the air... complete fluke but my best kill ever in UT :)

Gah, that's why I started another post and I forgot to put it in! That and when the steam pipe bursts in AvP2 and everyone shits themselves and empties a magazine into it. I had a mate who literally jumped 6" out of his seat in fright.

gta3, putting the dodo and low gravity cheat in, stealing a tank, aiming behind you, getting some speed up in a straight line then shooting and flying all over the map. then crashing horribly into the side of a building

oh god, this.

Plus, in mulitplayer, the feeling of absolute power as a predator, cloaked, sat in the corner waiting for a marine.

Then the feeling of utter terror as a funny noise makes you switch vision modes, only to realise the room is utterly crawling with aliens.

one that pops to mind is crapping myself last night on vampire the masquerade: blood lines in the shore hotel, when i turned around and a man with an axe has just apeared, he was a ghost. and when things would randomly fling at me and explode

Putting Prey back in the box after playing it for an hour. Probably the most thrilling thing about the whole experience to be honest.

I think you're being a little harsh and you should give it another go. IMO it was better than Quake 4 but that's not saying a lot I guess. What was wrong with it?
