This mod continues the story where Half-Life 2 finished and offers one possible scenario. After the big explosion you fall to the ground and are very badly injured. Some people find you and take you home to a small village outside the city where the citadel was built. After 3 months you’re strong again and want to fight on. You have never seen Alyx or any of the others since the explosion. But you try to find new people that will fight with you against Breen. Nobody wants to help, some are afraid, others think that Breen has learned his lesson and won’t start again. It also seems that most of his organisation was lost in the explosion. Then you hear that along the coast Breen is starting again and trying to take control again. So you decide to go to the coast. There you take a little boat and go along the coast so the Combine won’t notice you coming.

It's got some interesting ideas in it and it's a bit tougher than HL2 too. Certainly worth a go. Also most of the cast die and there's a royally odd hallucination section a la Max Payne.

As you have already guesed by the title, this mod is based on the Star Trek series of the same name ENTERPRISE! This mod is set in Games Workshop's, great Warhammer 40,000 ( 40k ) universe, as seen in Dawn of War and our previous mod WH40K : Rival Species Half-Life.
The 40k universe is set in the year 40,000 by which time mankind has colonized millions of worlds thought the galaxy by interstellar warp travel. Exterminatus is finaly underway after a long and democratic consulation process. A team of Space Marines will be air dropped into a planetary warzone to stall the invasion of the monsterous synapse creatures of the tryanid team and their AI broods.
Each map will seem the Marines and Tyranids competing in a series of mission objective.
Players that do well for their team will be rewarded with the option to use more powerfull player classes including devestator Space Marines and the fearsome Tyranid Zoanthropes.

GMod is a Sandbox Modification.
Using GMod you can pose ragdolls. This means can position people from HL2/CS/DoD and change their faces. A big comic book creating community has popped up around this feature.
Using GMod you can build. Take props from HL2/CS/DoD and weld them together to make walls. Axis a wheel to it to create a working car. Rope some cans to the back. A big contraption creating community has popped up around GMod - creating such things as Rube Goldberg devices, catapults, cannons, bridges etc..
Using GMod you can make your own weapons. That's right, make your own weapons. Using Lua you can create a custom weapon to do just about anything. If you're new you can change simple things like rate of fire, models, sounds. If you're awesome the world is your oyster, mass changing guns, melon cannons, jetpacks.
Using GMod you can make your own mods. Oh yes. Using Lua you can make your own Gamemodes. There are a few example gamemodes in GMod such as team based bridge building, bird poop, Nine Tenths, Tactical Police Cops, Hide and Seek and of course, Melon Racing.
GMod gives you the freedom to do any of these things in single player or online with your friends.

It starts in a similar fashion, a young boy on Halloween night Decides to take a detour into an old farmhouse after an evening of Trick-or-Treating. He stumbles upon the Ostium Mortis, an ancient book. But the prophecy of the traveler was only partially fulfilled, and the false traveler must be punished for his discovery.

In "The Hidden", players choose the role of either a near invisible killer, Subject 617, or one member of an Intercept squad who have to capture him, I.R.I.S. In the simple but challenging gameplay of an 'one against all'? mode, Subject 617 creeps/sneaks through the maps armed only with a knife and three pipe bombs. The IRIS team carry a selection of weaponry, fully customisable at round start, from F2000 assault rifles through to shotguns or sub machine guns as well as a pistol as a secondary weapon.
However, they can hardly see Subject 617 as, just like the 'Predator', only the outline of his silhouette is visible. On top of that the Hidden also moves a little faster and has many abilites such as pouncing, wall grabbing, corpse pinning and the fatal pigsticker attack. Therefore co-operation is necessary for I.R.I.S. if they wish to prevail (if they dont want to become the prey/victim themselves).
This leads to an outstanding gaming experience on public servers: The I.R.I.S team creep/sneak through the corridors, back to back & covering each other whilst Subject 617 lurks in dark corners choosing his time to attack. The player who finally kills the Hidden takes over the role & from then on he can roam like a ghost through the corridors.

Operation Black Mesa is a modification for Half Life 2; the second installment of the award winning Half Life. Utilizing the immense array of features of the Source engine, the Operation Black Mesa team plans to remake Opposing horse in all it's glory in the Source engine. People such as the Black Mesa team (www.blackmesasource.com) felt that the Source counterparts of the original Half-life and it's expansion packs lacked the feel of a real remake, only adding minor differences such as ragdoll physics.
What we plan to do is remake everything from the 3D models to the maps, so that Opposing horse can once again be praised as one of the best expansion packs for any game to date. We here at the Operation Black Mesa team wish to comprise both single-player and multi-player elements into our modification. We may be adding a Capture the flag mode, but don't quite count on it at all at the moment.

This is a half-life 2 modification that allows you to feel what its like to be a penguin with a hammer. The only problem, there are other penguins with unusually large hammers ready to attack you. When you die, you leave behind an ice cube. When another penguin picks up that ice cube, they use it as ice cube armor and can have a max level of 4. The Pirates, Vikings and Knights II team is trying to bring a unique mod to the Half-Life 2 community. In PVKII, 3 teams will compete against each other for kills, points, and total domination.
The mod will feature 6 classes on each team, all contributing to the general strategy of the game. The classes will be setup in a Rock-Paper-Scissors fashion where, for example, a class on the Knights’ team may be strong against a certain class on the Vikings’, but weak against a different class on that team.
Our mod will also include a unique melee combat system that includes 4 methods of attacking, parrying, and blocking, to make melee combat more fun when compared to general hack and slash combat.
Game play in PVKII will vary for each map and possibly each server. Our coders will be setting up general game entities in a way for our game modes (Booty, Territory, etc.) to be custom made per map.
Our team is working hard to bring the community a mod that is both original and fun to play, as well as something that looks good too.

You might have already heard about some other Resident Evil Mods, based on the Source engine of Half-Life2.
Dont be surprised because Im gonna present you now another RE-Mod called Resident Evil: Twilight.
The Mod will have single- and multiplayer modi, but at the time we are focusing our work on the singelplayer modus.
First, we want to present you a little part of the single player story:

The goal of Resistance and Liberation is to realistically portray the events and actions taken by the 82nd Airborne during their stay in Normandy. Our initial release will follow the regiments through a campaign that mimics that followed by the men themselves. The campaign will begin with players dropping into Normandy in the early hours of June 6th, with the ultimate objective of capturing the town of St. Mere Eglise. From there subsequent maps will include missions based on locations such as St. Come Du Mont, St. Marie Du Mont, Carentan Causeway, and other key areas.
Our approach in recreating such events is quite different than that of most standard first person games. The principal of our focus is on realism. The realism we are referring to is beyond that of Counter-Strike or Day of Defeat. Just to list a few details, the following items are being implemented.
* No crosshair
* Weight and inertia added to weaponry
* Full ballistics added to weaponry
* No HUD
* No death messages
* Revised score display
* An advanced damage system

We want RnL to be an effective realistic infantry combat simulator. If you were to compare it to anything, we would suggest visioning America's Army set in the time of World War 2. Obviously we'll be taking it even further than they did, but it's a start.

Pilotable Strider Mod is a HL2:Deathmatch modification that allows you to play a deathmatch with a pilotable strider, a helicopter, or an APC. Also included a Sniper rifle!!.
You can control the Strider like the HL2 Vehicles, but also you can use the machine gun, Anti-matter cannon and leg attack.
You can control a helicopter too, using his machine gun and the bombs.

Zombie Panic: Source is a Teamplay oriented Survivor Vs Zombie Multiplayer modification for HL2. While the main priority is to make the mod as fun to play as possible, ZP:S plans to greatly expand on the core features of "Zombie panic" For HL1, with new features, impressive visuals, and atmospheric maps.
What has always made Zombie Panic different from the other Zombie modifications is that there are no A.I. Zombies.
You'll have a real player hunting you down.
The catch is that everytime a zombie is killed, he simply respawns and continues to play. If a human is killed, he respawns as a Zombie. Soon, more and more humans have joined the ranks of the zombies, making the remaining survivors chance of getting out alive that little bit lower.
Humans However, have several advantages over the zombies:
Speed - The zombies only move at about 80% of the top speed of a human player, so all other things being equal, a human can outrun a zombie in a straight line. However, if he zig-zags too much, or gets cornered...
Firearms - The Survivors have a great advantage in the form of ranged weapons, and in a long hallway, with plenty of distance between a human and a zombie, the human should have no trouble dropping the zombie with multiple slugs before he gets in range of the zombie's claws. Unfortunately, ammo is scarce, and you won't always have a nice long hallway to shoot down. Zombies *love* tight spaces.
Numbers - At the beginning of the round, there is only one zombie and everyone else is a Survivor. This means that they can easily watch each other's backs and provide cover fire. However, once their ammo starts to run dry and they have a few zombies chasing after them, Things get much more difficult.
Goals:
Zombies - To devour the remaining Survivors and turn them against their comrades as a zombie themself.
Humans - To survive and kill all remaining zombies (Zombies have a limit of how many times they can respawn) and/or complete objective and reach safety.
