The 5punky Website Repository

Post by Grimmie »

Hello! Doing things for the 5punky community again, hurrah.
I would rather like to get some more content from the internets.

Post your five favourite websites and I will make a genuine effort to have a look around and choose my top ten from all of the ones you've submitted. Full URL links appreciated, ta! I think it's quite obvious that 5punk.co.uk is everyone's absolute favourite place to be, truely the central hub of internet activity, so we can leave that out of the chart. I'll shove the best onto the wiki too. Here's my favourite five to start you all off..

1) Wikipedia.org - A site I can spend hours and hours browsing, and never get bored.
2) Last.fm - A site that's introduced me to a wealth of new music.
3) Csszengarden.com - A site that truely opened my eyes to the power of CSS in website design.
4) Flickr.com - Another one of those fancy AJAX powered websites, full to the brim with beautiful photos.
5) ...

Err, I can't think of a fifth at the moment.
I'll fill in number five when I get home.

I can't think of five, but B3ta and The Hun get regular visits. I'm sure nobody needs links to those.

I have absolutely no idea. 5punk is my home page, from the I bumble around,

I check last.fm reguly, found a couple of new bands on there.
I look at my myspaz profile to see how many shit bands have added me, and what faaabulous comments I (may) have receieved.

I use wikipedia alot - was looking up cuisines of the world last night.

other forums - www.walkonzone.com - a paintballforum
www.ukthrash.com - a site for the UK metal scene, namely thrash

www.bnrmetalpages.com - a repository of metal bands and album listings

I will edit this post later when I have thought about it.

ohhhh and www.motorphetamine.co.uk - as it has all my beautiful pictures on it, should attempt to build the actual website though :/

OiNK.me.uk
Mininova.org

and IMDB after seeing Berk's post, sooo many pages I can't think of!

arghhhhh hmmmmmmm.

I gnereally usae google a million times a day aswell...

Can't say I like the hun, or any other of those kind of sites that rely on a different, and usually randomly generated title. The ones with big fancy thumbnails get my vote. Dansmovies is a cracker.

Hmmm ... tough to say, it changes almost daily. The current favourites would look something like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page - always something to read, although not always accurate either.

http://www.bbc.co.uk - it's the beeb, nuff said.

http://www.pandora.com - my new best friend. Adaptive internet radio. Just brilliant.

http://www.mingthemerciless.com - completely hatstand tattyshopping and Flash stuff. The day this site fails to amaze and amuse me is the day the internet dies.

http://www.bash.org - another good place to kill time.

http://www.ACIDplanet.com - where I upload my music
http://www.shacknews.com - great game-related news and forum
http://www.woot.com - you never know when there will be something worth buying!
Gizmodo & Engadget - obvious reasons
http://www.dieselsweeties.com - I like it.

This is indeed a toughie. So, in no apparent order and omitting stuff that's been said already:

http://del.icio.us/ - I don't tend to visit the website much, but the tailored Live Bookmarks means you get a load of new things to see every day.

http://makezine.com/blog/ - One day, I'll get around to making something from here that's slightly more taxing than the CD Lens camera.

http://www.photoshoptv.com/ - Tutorials from the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. If you skip past all the guff they spout there's some good stuff. New episode every week, I think.

http://www.dafont.com/ - Mmmm, fonts.

http://www.alistapart.com/ - Fantastic web design articles.
