That. Minus the part about classic windows. I like my shiny XP theme.

I just loaded up Trillian to make sure, but I see zero gradients or huge shiny buttons. Anywhere. GAIM, however, is drab and oddly proportioned to my eyes.

I also use the Windows Classic theme, since it reminds me of Windows 2000 which I loved dearly.

In either case, I'm done with this rather pointless debate on GAIM vs. Trillian.

I'm going to chisel messages on to small flat stones and hurl them to my mate Ug who lives in a cave the otherside of the valley. Now that is old school/basic IM!

I don't know, I don't use my yahoo account for anything like that. The two mediums I've only done them with AIM and MSN, and they both worked swimmingly.
