Best thing would be to snipe enemy from boats, then steal them.

Then you can wait 5 minutes for each person to swim to shore, and just headshot them 1 meter from the shoreline. :-)

I do honestly think you will find it harder infantry only as most "landings" are made by random pilots bailing. The only advantage would be you could rush to the land before China got to the shoreline.

Good point but it just takes alternative tactics. The US have five (I think) boats. A few special horses on the boat spawns to plant C4 on them and they can blow them up when they've disgorged their troops so new ones will respawn ready for the next wave.

I think we could expect to see some level of choice as to where you land too.

no flying stuff = possible to land anywhere, not to mention the m249 on the boat being able to provide support fire

Boat gun wont do you any good unless the boat is still, and then you'd be a sitting, err, floating duck.

But yeah, the wide path around to a back flag would have to be the way to win it as USMC.

Are they keeping in other vehicles without driver-guns? i.e jeeps, transport choppers?

The vehicles will be there but with the engine ripped out, you'll have to push a jet over the edge of the carrier and use it as a raft to paddle to shore
