Out of curiosity how does getting the patch on the server work? Will we (ie. you Berk

) have to do it or does it get done by the server hosting people or someone else? And how long will it take to install the patch on the server once it's released? Just so us clients can plan our patching around it.

4u will do it, and it depends when the patch is released - if it's after 5pm, it's likely it'll go on the day after.

However, in the past patches have been released at UK-friendly time, so it's likely once the patch is out we'll only have to wait a few hours at most.

Did anyone else notice that the server did not crash last night?

Anyway....

When the patch comes out i'll give you details of a mirror as the EA ftp/http gets bogged down to <5kbs on patch launch days. I'm nice like that.

Yes it did, as soon as I joined. Or perhaps someone restarted it manually in a fit of rage.

I've found that the EA downloader is pretty good, didn't think I'd ever say that, but more mirrors are always useful.

No doubt a Berk mirror will also appear 10 minutes before the official patch is released, technically impossible, pime taradox

unfortunately my usual source isn't playing much beef these days, so unlikely to tear space time too much.

As I've paid monies to gamespot, I should be able to get it fast. It will probably take a while to upload it, so like about an hour after I know it's out I might have a mirror.
