I really like wake island. I got my best score so far there last night as you all kept running for the south western bunker at the airfield like lemmings

Award for stupid fucking statement of the decade goes to WEY.

The lanarchy server doesn't crash on other maps because it's only karkand/sharqi on the server.
9 out of 10 times when the server crashes it's on those 2 maps, or perhaps it's because 9 out of 10 times we only ever play those 2 maps
the mapcycle is pretty big - it's more likely it crashes on those because they're generally used to get the server started - less players = longer rounds.

I know that, that is exactly my point! *insert rolleyes emoticon*

Lanarchy crashes more than any other server I have played on, and I think this "might" have something to do with those 2 maps, as I have played quite a bit on Thursday day times when baby wey is asleep on other random public servers not playing those maps, and I can't remember seeing a crash.

I'm not fucking stupid, the whole point in everyone buying a BF2 server was so that people could play maps other than Sharki/Karkand.
I was simply trying to suggest that it "could" be the maps that are more prone to crashing than others.

Anyways I didn't donate for the server, so my opinion isn't worth :poo: anyway

Yes, which is what we do, however, we also play sharqi and karkand, because they're very popular maps, which gets our server populated. The server is useless to us without players.

the cycle gets changed every so often to change when what maps get played

HOWEVER, the fact still remains that sharqi, karkand and wake are the most popular maps, as such it helps to run them to get the server busy, and to top the player count up if it gets empty.

apparently 1.4 is pretty soon too.

Unless we know the rcon password (which we probably don't), then:
http://www.bf2rcon.co.uk/
or even
http://www.gamerwar.com/bf2rcon/bf2_rcon.php

Might be "lighter". I think it's unlikely the bf2cc client is causing crashes, though - the bf2cc daemon, maybe.

We don't need to have BF2CC running though do we?

Can't we give it a good run through with no-one running BF2CC?, see how it fares.

the daemon could be, which is more what i mean when i talk about it on the server

given it's .net running on crap, on linux, there's likely to be issues introduced there.

however, the bf2cc daemon isn't optional with most GSPs :(

When the EU horses sub-contracted their infantry requirements to India due to cheaper labour costs.

Speaking of my flying...

I'm quite surprised I didn't crash after that, especially considering I had to fumble around trying to take a screenshot
