5punk Coop nights?

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

Following on from friz's thread (Here) and our previous attempt at coop (with serious sam:tse) which handled like a dog after a few levels.

How would people fancy a 5punk co-op gaming night?

Make it say 19:30 on a friday - no other games happening, a fair few of us online.

Most likely run the servers over hamachi - allowing us to test the games without others joining*

Reply with thoughts, suggestions for games etc** LINKS ARE ESSENTIAL

*Official use of hamachi #27

**Final choice of games will come down to how easy/good their server apps are, and how easy the game/server is to get hold of

I wouldn't mind some Co-op action, and I can be persuaded to get any wares I don't yet have.

The best co-op games I have are No One Lives Forever 2 and Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. I also have both Dungeon Siege games, but those aren't so good in multiplayer.

We could also try getting some Multi Theft Auto going if enough people have Vice City or San Andreas.

I'd be up for this. I always did like co-op games. Can't think of any off the top of my head, although Multi Theft Auto is doable for me. I did always enjoy X-Wing Vs Tie (so I'm assuming X-Wing Alliance would be better), although as it's joystick only I can't see much interest. It's very satisfying taking down a Star Destroyer in a pair of B-Wings though.

Seeing as swat 4 seems to fit the bill (has a co-op mode, a dedicated server, and allows dodgy keys)

Gentlefolk, Start your downloads.

Game: Swat 4

Patch: 1.1

Update: you will need the The Stetchkov Syndicate (Expansion) - this allows 10 players on coop mode, rather than 5

:above: This. The multi theft auto for san-an is *very* well done. especially compared to the one for Vice City. Thoroughly recomend, it supports 100 people in a server too.

*Whatever* you want. Its basically the mucking about doing what you want moments of San An, But with all the extra 5punky goodness. I think we could have a real laugh with this. Not really co-op in that sense, because missions are disabled. But seems good for our cat-herding types.

you are given different weapons on spawn depending on which character you choose.
I've not looked into different game modes much, but I'm sure you could find some stuff if you use this new site I've come across.

System Shock Two.
Played the demo once, but coop sounds very nice.
Left a post in the previous Coop topic about patches, graphical improvements, and getting it to work on a Win XP Machine.
