Just an idea but as there are quite a number of us playing on Berks CS server would it not make some sense for us all to contribute to the cost of runnig this.
Those that contribute will get priority over non contributing players on busy nights. On not so bussy nights then it can be left open to all.
If Dr Berk can let us know what the costs are, we can see how many people signup to this thread to contribute and do the maths.

there is something half on this subject http://www.5punk.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=510
basically, it's costing me £24 a month to run a 12 player server
ideally i'm hoping to get enough donations to cover a 6 or 12 month rental of a jolt server for 16-18 players.
unfortunately, we'd be looking at
£204 for 6 months of 16 players.
£230 for 6 months of 18 players.
£360 for 12 months of 16 players.
£405 for 12 months of 18 players.
i'm stating these prices because unfortunately, they offer better value (and decent discounts) than buying monthly
still, it's a lot of money for me to cover alone - donations and suchlike would be rock.

is this an up front payment
I sthis an upfront payment ?
if so we should band together and all pitch in the £12 for six months.
If we get 18 people signed up for this it works out at £2 per month, pretty cheap for the pleasure of having berk blast your balls off and fucking sledra point out the bleeding obvious when a noob is playing.
(bitch slap sledra someone)...
