These! :above:

Also, Syndicate and another Monkey Island. Oh, and Conflict Freespace. A lot of the old games wouldn't translate well into a modern game (Cannon Fodder, for example).

Pfft, they're not that old. Bubble Bobble, Kick Start 2, Afterburner. That's old (yeah I know there are older games but these are when games started looking like games).

Project Eden

It had crap graphics, but it really was an enjoyable game. Criminally overlooked on release.

Starcraft needs a sequal for rizzle and Sonic the Hedgehog should have a proper 3D sequal.

3D is why so many old games wouldn't work. Platform game (Bubble Bobble, Robocod, Sonic) = Tomb Raider, shooter (Turrican, Midnight Resistance, Bionic Commando) = Doom. Nobody would buy a 2D game any more, with the possible exception of a point-and-click style affair.

World of Starcraft?

Sonic has had a number of 3D sequels, I found Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast to be rather fun.

Edit: It was remade for the 'cube as Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut was a remake of the original)

Hmm yeah, I enjoyed SA and SA2 but the controls seemed very sloppy and the game itself was FAR to easy to complete.

But I'd buy new 2D Sonic games 8D.
