New Camera/Phone
Just got my spanking new Sony Ericsson K800i yesterday and I must say the camera is fucking brilliant.
I took this yesterday afternoon in my room

I'm excited about all the pictures I'll be taking in the coming months!
On a side note/tangent, does anyone else find that flickr seems to lower the quality of their photos a bit?

Re: New Camera/Phone
It certainly lowers the resolution to 1-3Mpix, but it's impossible to lower the quality of my picturestandino wrote:On a side note/tangent, does anyone else find that flickr seems to lower the quality of their photos a bit?
I got a £40 Phillips phone that did 1Mpix photo's as my "real" phone only does 0.3kpix, but wasn't very happy with it, so I got a £50 3Mpix Vivatar digicam which was about the same size. I still take rubbish pictures, and it's still rather poor in artificial/low light - but you need an SLR* with low shutter speed and a tripod to get decent pics in the twilight world I inhabit.
It does have a rather nice litle magnetic Supar Macro Powar lens though. Obviously I'm not expecting fantastical results, buying bottom-end stuff.
* or whatever the modern-day digital equivalent is
My old one is a K700i too and the joystick went fucked on that one also. This phone is fucking lovely though, I'm liking it a great deal thus far...Stoat wrote:Woo! I'm hoping to upgrade to one of those. The joystick on my K700i is utterly fucked.

SMOKING KILLS
Yeah they are ridiculously sharp pictures - the ones on flicker are actually reduced unless you go pro so it's sharper in reality.
Apparently it's the first phone to have an actual Sony Cyber-shot camera in it. At 3.2 MPix though I'd expect a bit of sharpness. I expected and was rewarded.
*goes off to take pictures of moths*
[EDIT]
Sorted, paid £13.77 to upgrade my account for a year to a pro one, pics look better now.
