Wireless Headphones with mic
WTB: Wireless Headphones with a mic and preferably a PTT or mic on/off switch. Can find plenty of wireless "listen to your muzak in style" but can't find any for a comp. Want to be able to bimble around the house getting coffee and booze without stopping convo on TS/Vent/Skype.
Any ideas?

More thinking.
I suspect you'll have great difficulty getting a stereo wireless/bluetooth headset with mic, unless you get *silly*
My way of doing would be either nice* wireless headphones, and a modded bluetooth handsfree dobber (so as to not get in the way of the headphones)
then pump audio out over the headphones, and mic over the bluetooth.
---OR--- (the smarter way)
run voicecomms over a standard bluetooth handsfree, and use speakers for in game (it's not like sound matters *that* much in eve)
*this is relative.

Yeah, I will mostly do game sounds over speakerage, and will use headsets for just talky talky . When I first looked at this the most cost effective was the bluetooth dongle option. But then again, stereo would be nice for those few occasions when I have to listen in. Bah, depends on cost really. Kinda thinking 30 quid and no more than 50 all in.

Can easily be done with a body pack type thing.

and something like

Does everything you want and has push to talk, but it's not gonna be that cheap.
If you just want to be able to continue conversations etc. while wandering around, I'd go the bluetooth headset route as Berk suggested (in fact, that's what I do). It's actually pretty easy to set up.

I'm pretty much decided on the bluetooth thing as I don't need funkiness for music or game sounds - I'll leave that to the speakers. Next question, what's a good one? And where do you find them?eion wrote:...If you just want to be able to continue conversations etc. while wandering around, I'd go the bluetooth headset route as Berk suggested (in fact, that's what I do). I got mine for free with reward points from a website I use, but all of the usual suspects sell them - Dabs, Ebuyer and Amazon would probably be the first places I'd look if I were in the UK.friznit wrote:

Mine is a Bluespoon AX2 and now that I've modded it, it seems pretty good. I'm sure there are plenty of other good headsets out there though.
On another note, the Microsoft bluetooth stack doesn't seem to work with headsets, so you'll need to use a widcomm stack or similar. Unfortunately, some devices (like my Blackberry
