what makes me laugh is that my mate at home harps on about how great the 360 is and how good the graphics are, but then i go and spend 400 notes on a new gpu. Im sorry but how can a console be better? personally consoles are for the cheap people in life that cant be arsed to tweak things on there own.

To be fair. consoles are easy, great for picking up a game and having a blast, no work, no maintenance, no effort. Just plug in and go.
Unlike PCs, which need looking after and crap.
I'm not gonna get into the which is better crap. but
I would say that consoles are pretty much the logicial conclusion of gaming, they're cheap, accessable, anyone can use them, they have very simple controls anyone can pick up and understand to a level easily.
Yeah, they aint perfect, some stuff works better with a keyboard and mouse than with a gamepad.
Then some stuff works better with a gamepad, or a joystick, or steering wheel, than with a keyboard and mouse.
This really is pc/mac, ipod/other, windows/linux, sega/nintendo, sony/microsoft. etc. etc.
The conclusion? PCs and Consoles are different.

Consoles do seem to be slowly turning into PCs. Just narrow minded, unmodifiable ones without keyboards or decent mice.
What really pisses me off is the way games get relased at different times for different consoles and the PC, Halo2 for example. It really detracts from the uniqueness of a games launch if it's launched three times. If they did it with HL2, it would completely have destroyed the mystery of the story, I think.

have you ever played doom3 or half life 2 on the x-brick? Dooms totally different and the graphics are pap, and half life 2 graphics are lower than low on the pc. this is the reason why pc games shouldnt be ported to consoles.Sticky Label wrote:Consoles do seem to be slowly turning into PCs.
