I tried playing it once. Didn't really know what to make of it.

I have Savage though, I'm curious as to how it plays.

Yeah, I saw the 14 minute wait and I got it from download.com instead. You can get it in a lot of places, but Fileplanet is the "official" place.

still, would anyone be up for some of this?

Im always up for some free gaming, and i seem to remember Tribes being mighty entertaining. I shall get it and give it a go, once i have a bit more room on my machine.

True, but that doesn't mean that more modern games can't be better.

Is that the one with the big towers, where you can fly for a bit but not very long, infact just about long enough to nearly make it to the top of the tower but not quite so that you then plummet to your doom on the ground below?

I had a look around an empty level without connecting to an online game, then uninstalled

Isn't Tribes 2 downloadable now? It's 30p on Amazon, which seems to suggest it is.

it was free for a bit, but they ran out of the CD-Keys needed to install it.

and since it seems no one likes it, I guess I'll just get rid of it :roll:
