Trading Calculator

Post by Joose »

Been doing a bit of trading today, as its something i can do and work at the same time.

Got annoyed with trying to work out what i can make more money on in my head, so i put together a little php form to do the Sciene-Maths for me.

Handily, it work in the in game browser, too!

Rather no-frills, but it does the job. If you want to use it too, point your browsers toward this linky:

Fairly self explanitory, me thinks. Enjoy!

wow, that's useful. Also can you a little function (might not be so little) so that if you input how muny trips you make an hour you can figure out how much you'd make in an hour.

And how many hours you'd have to work to make X amount.

I thought I'd have a go at trading, given that 'samas a Trade alt and all. Sent a noob alt up to Jita, while I sat in Rens to compare prices.

Not the most fantastic idea in the world - pretty much everything is cheaper in the Forge. Anyone got any tips for more profitable routes, generally speaking of course without compromising any lucrative items you're trading in yourselves? In that area X is generally cheaper than area Y, on route to area Z, etc.

I'd like to keep 'sama around Heimatar generally as her main use is selling on 'chans loot.

I used to make a tidy living (for a noob in empire anyway) hauling NPC trade goods around in Metropolis - tobacco, holo reals, antibiotics that kinda thing. There's some good deals to be had in the same region. You can also sit in Hek and pc 4 different regions since it's a cross roads there.

I did exactly the same not long back, I compared as many different item types as I could. The biggest price difference was found in implants, but there were no buy orders that would make the trade instant, youd have to sell and wait for someone to purchase. With implants tho there is a lot of investment making it risky.

The best trading i have done is going to rens, buying something that is cheaper there and bringing it to maspah \ berta and putting a sell order up. I made 4 mil on 10.8 mil investment last time I tried. I'll tell you it if you ask nicely as i'm not running it at the moment as don't want isk tied up. Don't want to give the route away too much tho ;-)

My hosting is utter shite, and falls over at regular intervals. However, it is the cheapest hosting I have ever seen, anywhere, that includes stuff like mySQL and the like.

But yes, dont be surprised if it goes away now and then :)
