Lets have a go at this then, sorry, couldn't do just 5:

Single Player
Half Life
Half Life 2
The Secret of Monkey Island
Turrican 2
Resident Evil 2
Metal Gear Solid

The Amiga and PS1 games aren't just here for Retro value, they're games that I love and have played through again recently, there are loads of other old games that I'm nostalgic about but when played again just don't measure up, these ones ^ do.

Multi-player Online
Call of Duty United Offensive
Counter Strike Source
COD 2
UT 2004

Erm... not really played enough of other online games to put them in a 'Top' list so here are some MP offline games that have sucked many many hours out of my life

Multi-player Offline
Timesplitters 2
Halo
Goldeneye
Alien Breed (Co-op mode OMFG!!)
<a href="http://www.mobygames.com/game/gravity-horse-2" target="_blank">Gravity horse 2</a>
<a href="http://www.geocities.com/simesgreen/ev/" target="_blank">Extreme Violence</a>

Well the thread says PC games but :P I've not had a PC for that many years so couldn't put a good enough list together

Single Player :
Half-life 2
Half-life
Grim Fandango
Sam & Max: Hit the Road
Quake 2

Multiplayer :
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2
CounterStrike: Source
Sven Coop
Unreal Tourament 4

My online PC gaming is limited to the past 1-2 years so I'm limited on options. BF2 deserves places 1 & 2 as it may be the best game I've ever played.

If we're branching out to other formats, you can stick Worms and Bomberman somewhere in mine. And Woo! to Extreme Violence Bobbins (if it's the same one I'm thinking of).
