A potential eve-beater?
Sup whores? I stumbled across this interesting game whilst browsing through the collective pig-anus of the internet. From the looks of it, you have yourself a little avatar that can run around in towns and cities, and a fancy spaceship which you can take out cand kill NPCs with. There's PvP action, and the little review I saw mentioned the quick level progression and low-levels of grinding.

Though it obviously doesn't have the depth and scale of the Eve Universe, it is free and soon I'll have a little kickabout inside the game to see if it's enjoyable. Wish me luck!

Still downloading, it's a big package (ahaha..) and I reccomend grabbing it from fileplanet in the morning when it's quiet, instead of downloading the huge program through one of the other 65kbs servers and waiting all day. The graphics unfortunately dont really compare to eve - But there's definitely flying and shooting. Shiny rockets and fancy chainguns ahoy!

30 Second Hehulk opinion: Looks shiny, and it does involve flying, but the setting and entire game style appears to be different. Semi-modern day looking stuff, level cap, graphics arn't quite as good (and remeber eve is 3 and a bit years old).
Sorry, too different. Bring me something more freeform.
EDIT: Oh, and sharding. eve doesn't shard.

Official Verdict
I've played this to level 7 but honestly don't know if I've played it enough to give it a proper verdict, gameplay-wise so I'll just discuss it in brief.
First impressions were "fuck a truck, this is a bit ugly!" and it is, not so much the ships you fly, more when you're on foot in the city. We're talking worse than Anarchy Online. I suppose anarchy's excuse is that it's old and Space Cowboy's excuse is that it's free, which are both valid excuses in my opinion.
The ships themselves come in 4 flavours if I remember rightly (I'm writing this in work, with a hangover so bear with me) one of them appeared to be a ground based vehicle (think the battle royale tanks in N64 Lylat Wars). I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the flying, as far as I'm concerned, was an absolute treat. Simple controls (move mouse to move craft, W=forward, S=back, Space=WARP SPEED!1).
Lots of action as previously mentioned, definately comparable to Deject's Mom. After the first few levels though It got pretty dull, I was flying around in my fucking ace uber spaceship with frickin' laser beams, shooting big wasps and what appeared to be giant moths. Little strange if you ask me. Also for some reason you take absolutely no damage from scraping/crashing into the floor head on. Now I'm not looking for realism, it's been ages since I shot up some giant wasps in my space ship, but even so...
The on-foot sections aren't half as fluid as the flying. Click to move, click to move, click to move, you will try and interact with another player by clicking on them and end up standing in them, not sure how or to what extent you can interact with other players just yet.
I think I will play it a bit more as I've only just scraped the surface and it has some potential, especially when it comes to customising your craft, many many options as you progress and upgrade.
Me playing further is assuming all the fucking kids can stop typing in all caps "WHAT DOI D OWITH THE IRON!" Cunts. Oh and there's a fucking shitload of Engrish in it, boss fun!

Thanks for the insight. That last little bittandino wrote:...all the fucking kids can stop typing in all caps "WHAT DOI D OWITH THE IRON!" Cunts. Oh and there's a fucking shitload of Engrish in it, boss fun!
Grammatical irregularities and excessive superfluous use of punctuation are a sad reflection on the lack of education and idleness of the txt generation.
