From what I've read(Which aint alot) theres three factions you join one and battle it out using swords and.... giant mechs??? Hmmm sound fuzzy but could be intresting.... time will tell!

And this man knows what a MMO is.
This is true, coupled with the fact he was quite excited about the concept and the game before it was released make his testimony even more damning.
IN concept, the game looked kick ass. Super cool looking androids, mechs, spellcasters with a passion for violence (those damn half elves started it al, iirc). But the game lacks any kind of support beyond the 20 minute tutorial. Couldn't even find a nice map button or some signs pointing me to where I was ment to go. Ended up in some high level area where I was insta kiled by the npcs that resided there.
So, not for me.

I suffered the same fate! In the end I grabbed a bloke running by and demanded he tell me where the hell do I "Hunt Wings" and what ever else I had to do.
It turns out, It was just outside where you start. If you open your journal (Ctrl+J I think or the character hot key down the bottom by your inventory and options switch) it tells you the name of where you go. Then up top you hit the blue icon below the map and it shows you roughly where to go. You have to find for yourself exactly where it is so its a bit more intresting than the normal GO HERE, X MARKS DE SPOT kinda of quests.
Another cool feature is the bank exchange, Trade CP(Like... monies basicly) for gold at a exchange rate then when it jumps up sell.
I suggest giving the game two or three hours before you chuck it, Once you get level 10 your open to alot more of the game.
As one of the other MMO whores on here, i have to second the opinion that it "sucks the big one". Yes, there are some big stompy robots. But they play just like anything else. Despite the high interest when it was in development, its basically just another bloody identi-kit MMO.
I cant wait for more people to realise: EVE has broken away from the MMO cliches quite a bit, and done really well. It doesnt have to all look like EQ with a different set of graphics!

Uh, if putting any other genre of game after MMO other than fantasy RPG counts as "broken away from the MMO cliches quite a bit, and done really well", then can I see if there's any interest in Ballerium?
As far as I can tell it's a constantly in production MMO strategy game. I'm in the beta but haven't actually installed it yet, I think if anyone else fancies a few tentative steps into its shallow waters I might join them.
looks uncannily similar to the god of ORPG's Phantasy Star Online. So i'd say thatg if you like the look of this wait for Phantasy Star Universe, that will be awesome
