Bah! Bunch of cunts. I'm still disappointed they haven't released a UO style extension/improvement for CoD 2.

Fuck 'em. There's plenty of other decent games to play and I'm sure someone else will fill the evolutionary niche. To be honest I'd rather they didn't release it than release a shitty console port.

New Call of Duty skipping PC reflects info from an Activision Conference call that the next game in the Call of Duty series will be for next-generation consoles only. The story stops short of hitting the panic button over the future of the PC side of the franchise, however. They say this is likely an adaptation of a previous release, and that it is still likely that the next full game in the series (presumably CoD3) will be developed by Infinity Ward for consoles and PCs for release in 2007 (which is in line with recent rumors on the topic)
I don't know if this is in any way official, but I seriously doubt they'd drop PC totally.

The CoD3 video from E3 listed only Next-Gen consoles and was developed by Treyarch, who did UO.

But still, COD 2 felt like a step back from UO in gameplay. Almost the orginal COD with really shiny graphics and bazaar normal maps. MGs with unlimited ammo... Bah.... If Treyarch made UO seprate from Infinity Ward, I believe they should be made prime devs! We can show them that theres a HUGE playerbase waiting for the the UO of COD 2....

That :above:

Hell, the whole lack of the UO type stuff is why 5punkCoD has gone back to CoD:UO

Because of the Xbox360 focus on CoD2, I doubt there will be a UO-type thing as consoles don't lend themselves to expansions too well. Why release more content on the PC but leave out the 360? Microsoft would come down on Activision like a tonne of bricks in that situation.

Iam not saying they shouldn't do a console version like they have done with every PC version(Main game any way!), Iam saying why do one and not the other?

Gibbering :cod: testicles!

I had a feeling this was the case when I watched the end credits of the trailer shown at E3.

It doesn't suprise me narf, and this may be the way of things when it comes to the future of PC Gaming.
Until PC Hardware Components sale at a reasonable price without huge markups/profit, the PC is likely to lose an awfult lot of titles to consoles only.

Can't blame them entirely, there's not a lot on the 360 (for example) that isn't better on the PC. I assume this is also why there's no UO or mod kit for CoD2: they would devalue the console version even more.
