a controversial suggestion, would be to cross-post and bung them onto 4rthur too, they *can* appreciate a good drawing or two (and not just from down on the farm).

'subtly'....

That's a good point actually, I've never thought of whoring on 4rthur (mainly because I've not been there). As with any B3tard community I think any advertising needs to be done low-key - Woo has tried the not-so-subtle approach and got a lot of negativity (which was kind of uncalled for really because he'd posted an image and the site is relevent to B3ta).

there's quite a strong game community on there, with a fairly active guild battling across cantha at present, and many of the others are keen gamers on many different platforms.

I know woo stuffed it in the links, but some fresh artwork would not go unapreciated. I understand one or two folk who now reside here have had a rough ride over in the orange land, but there is no reason that this should not recieve favourable attention. Zombies are always popular and there are even a few UD players (albeit not very serious).
Maybe bung up the first strip (which I've not seen btw), as a prelude to the new one, remember the "supplimental question" that seems to be in vogue at present, maybe "when's the last time YOU battled an undead horde", and you should be fine.

gah! too many words, sorry.

All of this :above: HARD :above:

I know 4rthur isn't to everyones taste, but it is a like minded community that would be greatly appreicated here at 5punk.

You're right I have added it to the links page, and when I get chance, I will pimp it again at 4rthur. However my main focus for the moment is redesignign 5punk once Dog Pants has time to work on the icons for me.

Then, once all suggestions/ideas have been put in place and exhausted, I will pimp 5punk on both b3ta & 4rthur to try and get more members.

Anyways, this is going a bit off topic, but I thought you should know what my priorities were.

I'll be off then, i'm not getting involved with that lot again.

seriously. i'll leave in a second.

edit: this isn't meant to be a tantrum, i'm just making my position clear, i came here to get away from those people.

if those people come here, i'm off, i really don't need those people around me.

edit again: this isn't me being awkward for no reason, i actually enjoy my mental health healthy. those people are non-conducive to my mental health, as such i'm strongly opposed to them and have to protect myself

I don't think you've anything to worry about Berk, our advertising campaigns have had limited success at best and for the most part our members join through word of mouth. I'm happy to respect your wishes in this case personally as I'm currently working on my own little whoring project.

Also, I've split this out of the UD thread because it was getting off topic and moving focus away from Grimmie's comic strip, which I'm eager to see more of. I've been thinking of ways to draw in like-minded people recently and so this thread serves as a good place to put any suggestions, although I know it's been discussed before.

SPAM B3TA THEY LOVE* IT!!!!!

In all seriousness though, if everybody could update their profile name to include a link to 5punk for the next 7 days, that will bring people here!

*may be a lie

I'm not really a huge b3ta person, and I've never even been to 4rthur so no experience there, but if more people want to come play UT 2K4, COD, Beef2, perhaps eve, and join in the general community, then why not :)

Quick question to Berk though: When you say the 4rthur guys unhinge you slightly, how?

I can't get to b3ta daytimes and I have no inclination to go there during the evenings.
In respect for berk, I'll not spam it about on anywhere an 4rthurian might see it, although I hope the few that caused trouble won't bother moving over here, it's best avoided. I'll mention it to those I trust, but there's not many of them left.

[edit] hehulk - HOW LONG on eve? there's not that many hours been made yet!

Fair enough, sorry to poke.

And Webclam, up until quite recently I could never be bothered with a social life, trying to get a girlfriend, etc, hence the mad amounts of hours played :) You should notice that it'll drop from it usually 70 hours a week in the next week as I've now got actual social engagements (Me, social life, wtf have I been smoking :faint: )

Would using this new board sig be better? The trouble is you can't make it a link but if you put 5punk.co.uk in your username you can have a linkable banner in your profile as well. Just throwing some options out there.

edit: I don't post much so wont be of much help anyway
