We've had this discussion tiwce in the past, and narf, both times we've decided that we prefere putting into the corp wallet as and when instead of a straight forward tax rate. Plus we've got stuff like ferrofluids and the occasion 0.0 mining op to help pump the corp wallet up some, so it's just not really required.

A tax rate was first brought up when we needed to raise money for our POS. It was voted down cos we all believed that 5punk is about the corp, not the individual. We work together as a very close knit team and if the corp wallet is suffering, we all contribute to our 'leaky roof fund'. I personally prefer this way - people help out if they feel they want to, not because they have to. When the POS went up, it was originally designed as a place to have fun in 0.0 and from where we could do some good ratting and make isk mining. I've since wanted to take it further and get it turning a real profit for the corp, to enable us to invest in bigger projects than we'll ever manage as a collection of individuals. This is why the corp isk is spent on corp projects that benefit all of us, rather than on our own ships that we would not care about if we blew em up. This is why I listed those long term goals up there :above: . Above all, I believe you guys should be free to work towards your own goals and have fun playing Eve, without the corp being a drag on your personal amitions.

Clearly I'm ice mining at the mo.
