I NEED HELP!

Post by Lateralus »

I'm trying to find a good title for my dissertation. The basic study is on domestic-scale wind turbines within northumberland national park, and how the visual impact is balanced against the need for renewable energy developments. My working title now, with some help from berk is:

Code: Select all

Saving the Environment or: How I learned to Mitigate Visual Impact and Love the Wind Turbine

The case of domestic wind turbines in
Northumberland National Park
Anyone got any better suggestions?

I would love to. The idea that environmentalists are arguing against wind turbines is one of the most ridiculous things ever. FACT.

Northumberland National Park and the
Introduction of
Minor wind turbines:
Balancing the historical countryside with the
Youthful technologies

Too subtle?

/Edit for the pic - its a fantastic one Spoodie, but I'm not quite sure where I could include it.

That last one made me pffffft myself.
Its tempting, but not quite sure I could get away with it. I'm currently erring towards the initial Strangelove one.

Right, we need a fucking spell checker on here. NOW.

dyslexia, stupidity, i don't know, but there's no reason not to try to make sense sometimes.

Easy.

1) Get your parents to have a look at http://www.ddat.co.uk/ they're really very good. (and some of the people there are pretty hot)

2) Take a bit of time to look at what you've typed, if you have trouble, try selecting it, the change in contrast can make stuff a lot more readable.

3) Try to get your head around some of the punctuation at least, that's the thing that really makes your posts unreadable.

4) If you do work better with certain colours, maybe ask WEY if it's possible to get a seperate theme setup that's a bit easier to read for you.

Also, believe it or not, i have some dyslexia and other stuff and didn't even pass my year 9 english SAT.

So yeah, i am gonna be harsh, because i worked my bollocks off learning this stuff for myself.

Anyway, this was MY topic asking for help!

Mum shot down the "Saving the Environment or: How I learned to Mitigate Visual Impact and Love the Wind Turbine

The case of domestic wind turbines in
Northumberland National Park"
idea, but housemate (who is a student at the same Uni, but in a different department) reckons its a good one, so I'm no closer to a decision.

Well it is, but its not quite what I'm after. I want something that is more than just a description of whats in the paper, and more amusing too.

The subtitle to my original idea is there to provide some sensible context, but the main bit is a parody of the Stanley Kubrick and Peter Sellers film "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"

We've got some smelly gloves at work for carrying servers and I like to do that hand thing that Sellers does in the film. The hours fly by.
