I would if it were the CS:S P90, but as it is I think there are enough peashooters in beef already. Also, despite the G3 fanboys we have here, it really doesn't grab me so I think the F2000 is a good choice for me. I also play engineer a lot but rarely get kills when not in a vehicle since the basic guns are a little rubbish, which is my reasoning behing the Jackhammer.

Yeah I'd say get either the Jackhammer or the MG36. The F2000 is a no-brainer.

Just been promoted (woo) so I now have 2 unlocks to use. Options are:
  • F2000
    Jackhammer
MP7 (if I get the jackhammer as well)
    SCAR-L
    MG36
    P90
I'm currently leaning towards Jackhammer and F2000, but thought someone may think this to be foolish.

Its 12,000 point till my next set of unlocks too, so don't want to get it wrong!
MG36 & F2000 :)

I'd go with the F2000 and the Jackhammer. The MG36 is cool and all, but the PKM/Default weapons do fine in it's place.

This is the point in the thread where I mention that I hate the jackhammer with a passion! :x :x :x :x

I like the MP7 better, but unless I'm MEC, I just stick with the pump shotguns, unless I'm Anti-tank, then it's all about the DAO-12

You're right. Ones Anti-tank, and the other is engineer, there's 7 vs 12 shots, the jackhammer takes forever to reload and is also fully auto, and when you do reload it, you're reloading all of your shots, while the DAO-12 can be loaded one shell at a time and is semi auto. Other that that, they're both basically the same gun.

Okay, I'm not going to argue about the details but the end result seems very similar to me.

while you can load one shell at a time in the DAO-12, you can't interrupt the loading process to shoot. You have to load all 12 shells into the gun before you can shoot again. The only way to stop the loading process is to take out another gun. Doing that and switching back to the DAO-12 takes about as long as letting it finish loading. Also, when I use the Jackhammer, I never actually use it in full auto, I use it like the DAO-12.

Depends how far along you are in loading it. I was referring to the fact I can "top it off" as it were if I've fired only a few shots. But diff'rent stroke for diff'rent folks, etc.

true. I'm not saying one or the other is better, just clarifying.

Is the jackhammer always on auto or can you switch the mode from auto to semi? Like deject I only use it like the DAO and don't hold the fire button down, hence my comment about them being very similar.

I'm pretty sure it's auto only.
