The Godfather

Post by Lateralus »

Has anyone played this game? I'm sure I've seen one or two people on xfire playing it, but I can't remember who.

I'm a big fan of the films, and really enjoyed GTA:San Andreas which I've heard is the most similar game, so can someone tell me something about it and if its worth buying please? A full review would be nice, but just some generaly points would be cool.

Please and thank you!

I don't care enough to read reviews but I understand its not very good and Francis Ford Coppola has said he's unhappy about how it turned out.

sort of ace in parts but shit in others. you can grab a bomb, run into buildings throw it down run into the street and watch the entire shop explode for instance, but things such as driving let it down. if your a fan of the godfather and like GTA style games give it a download, pretty short though

Edge gave it 4 out of 10 (I think, don't have it to hand - in work) in their April issue and I could happily live my gaming life by Edge's rules so I'd steer clear of buying it.

Maybe see if there's a demo available for download? Though I personally would rather shit cacti than play "Yet Another Poor Film Licence Game"

I rather enjoyed it actually.

Racked up 12 game hours in my first 2 days of having it, which isn't exactly bad.
