Zambah Pub Crawl!

Post by Dog Pants »

Because I can. Liberarche and Belmer are running a zombie pub crawl parallel to the 5punk one so that the harder to reach areas can be reviewed if the harmanz don't make it. Just moved on from the Whalen Arms in Ridleybank to the Sumption Arms, also in Ridleybank.

Here's what Belmer had to say...

"Zah Rahran Ahmz rahz ahmgah ahz harmanz, zah rahr zahr rahrz nahgahng gah ahg zah ahgmazghahr rahrz zahrah gahg. Zah gaahr rahrzahng zah grahz, gahg zah gahrman grahz hahz hangh bahrahng ahg zah ah gahn hahg hahz gahmahgmang. Ah grahr, brahzahn bahb zahn, rahz rahrhar rahrgarz. Ah zahr ah zambah ahz grahrz!

Zahr ahg ahz zahgh."

Translation:
"The Whalen Arms was empty of humans, so while there was nothing to eat the atmosphere was very good. The beer wasn't the best, but the barman lost his hand pulling it so I can't fault his commitment. A quiet, pleasant pub then, with friendly locals. If you're a zombie of course!

Four out of five."

Jimny has just died in Lamport Hills, so he'll make his way down. Hopefully getting Lurching Gait on the way...

Liberarche's jaw fell off this morning, so Belmer calls in the review again:

"Zah Zambrahn Ahmz rahz brahbahbrah ah grahr grazzah brahb bahahr zah zambah ahbrahg, bah ahgz rahgahzahn ahn zah hahrgh ah Raghrahgrahng hahz rahg ah bang-bang zgahg ahn bahgrah grahmahg. Zahr ahz bahgrahnzhar grahr ah nahz brahb hahr, ah gahz nahgz zam gah bahnzahz gah zahb zah harmanz gahgahng ahn ahn bangan hahrz ahn zah bahr bahrarz, zahnahzah ahn grahngahz.

Mnnng ahg ahz zaghz."

Translation:
"The Sumption Arms was probably a quite classy pub before the zombie outbreak, but its location in the heart of Ridleybank has left it bullet scarred and badly damaged. There is potential for a nice pub here, it just needs some good bouncers to stop the humans getting in and shooting holes in the beer barrels, furniture and drinkers.

Two out of five."

Next stop - the Reay Arms (Ridleybank).

Do people think the zambah reviews should be included in the good beer guide? I'm going to keep writing them anyway for my own (and anyone else who's coming along) entertainment.

FatherJackZ scratched the Reay's barricade down to VS, then retired to the Sumption for a Babycham.

I expect that means I'm dead outside then, as I was stood at the bar shouting at the Harmanz when I logged out.

Oops. Sorry about that, just I thought the idea was to go *in* the pubs. If it's any consolation, I did break a nail.

Meh, zombies die all the time. It's no big deal. Hell, I've been kicked out of more buildings than I've had hot braaaains.

The Reay Arms - Ridleybank

"Zah Raah Ahmz ahz ah rahzah brahndah nahr brahb rahz a zarah zbragz brah bahrarzah, ahz ah hahz ah ram zah braahz ahn ahn bazh zah hambargar ahn ahrgar ah gah ah brahng. Zah ahnrah gahg bahgz ah zah nahz ahmbahrgah bahgharz zagh az Zahrahahgz ahn Ahgahgahm, ahn zah 'rahbrah grahg' zah-bahn Ahgrahn ahgah.

Mnnng ahg ahz zaghz."

Translation:
"The Reay Arms is a rather trendy new pub with a very strict door policy, as I found out when I had to smash the doors in and eat the bouncer in order to get a drink. The fashionable decor might appeal to the young humans, but it did nothing for me - although the metal tables took me a good while to smash through when the barman barricaded himself inside the toilets. The beer is mostly bottled, with just Woodpecker, Carling Premier, and bizarrely red and white wine on tap. The only good points are the nice imported bottles such as Zywiec and Okocim, and the 'retro chic' sit-down Outrun arcade.

Two out of five."

Scudamore is not barricaded, made it inside. Couple of humans here. Asked for a pint of mild and commented on the weather. No response from the slack-jawed locals.

Well, a new development means I can now ransack buildings. So I trashed the pub. Woo! I think this should be the new zombie objective: trash as many pubs as possible.

Grahr ah ahz gahrz brah Brahb Grahr

Nah rahn ah ahz gahrz"

Translation:

"The Scudamore is a remarkably quiet pub - we've spent a good week there with hardly a soul to share a drink with. Our first impressions were that of a busy local pub that has been pretty much untouched since the Outbreak. The bar was well stocked and the furniture relatively undamaged by barricading. The service was lacking due to having no staff, but the alcohol was in good quantity. A week of us drinking here has taken its toll though, and it's not such a nice place anymore. All the beer and spirits are gone and there's partially digested brains covering both toilets after we fed FatherJackZ a pint off the top row. Also, I've just ransacked the place because the beer ran out.

Just reached Allsop, it looks as though it's been ransacked already. A word of advice, though - don't drink from the fountain outside. *zips*
