Good day all, on Friznit's suggestion, I'm starting a link for all news Fw4pperish in nature!
A basic rundown of accomplishments to date would include our first mining operation, which started earlier than intended, resulted in some ore being mined before we decided to chase the overly frequent rat spawns instead. Which turned out to be a great idea, as we quickly netted a nice implant that bankrolled Fw4ppers with 130 mil! Pretty nice for our first (albeit small) operation.
Recruiting continued, with rather alot more people making the trip to Khank than actually signing up to see what they made the trip for. I guess new characters just aren't as ready to commit as they think they are. We are up to 5 active members that attend our weekly gatherings. and are coming along quite smashingly I might say. A couple are geared toward industrial/commercial endeavors, one more military minded, and the last just enjoys blowing things up wherever needed.
Current recruiting efforts have been slightly hampered due to the regular recruiters pointing out that our corp is at war to the noobs. That has pretty much drained the coffers of interest atm.
Our second event garnered the attendance of a pair of 5punkorp members, (albeit one members alliance is not truly written, but his motives are quite pure). We were to conduct a few different competitions with some entrance fees being spread as prize monies. The first ended up being a pvp event, new to almost all of the Fw4ppers, where it was decided to do a corp vs. corp setup. It was aggreed that all would stop before structure was breeched, but one unlucky 5punker had a ship exploded away from their pod by just a little too much aggression. Fortunately the pod survived. We then conducted a mining race that will be refined in itself before we ever attempt it again. There were issues with who was to mine into which can and such. Fun was had by all still, despite the rules not taking into effect frigates vs. cruisers....
Last and most entertaining was the race. I thought I had set up a course of safespots with secure cans and bookmarks that would lead the players through a course and back to a specific can, which I stationed myself at to proclaim the winner. Unfortunately hasty planning causes a 'loop' early in the course, with no way to complete it. There was many a laugh at this though, and much learning occured for all, as some had never mined, we learned about installing and copying instas and such, not to mention the invalualble pvp time.
I think a couple members may be reeady to tread the waters of 0.0 in the near future, if only as scouts. Some endeavors that we have taken on include building our own ammo, mining more aggresively, building some ships, including the monstrous FW4PPERS INC. brutix flagship. Which was completed completely through Fw4ppers operations.
We've also stocked up a 'few' hangars with fits from an untold amout of rat 'donations' as it were. Every time I open one I'm reminded of how capable the Fw4ppers have become in a short period of time
We have a Deadspace plan in place for tonite, although probably not the one that claimed a couple ships from Ak and I while scouting it last night. Probably end up taking out some rogue drones, but it will be good teamwork building and survivability training.
So keep Fw4pping!
Fw4ppers in the news......

The deadspace op definitely showed us all the value of missile launchers to take out sentry guns! Shadowdemon's missile barrages were quite welcome at taking them out, and the rest of the Fw4ppers supported. A level 3 was too easy, and only offered short resistance, but both of the level 4's we approached were recently cleaned, leaving the Fw4ppers bored. We only had one casualty in the evening, so a success by most standards. As an interesting development, the shortest route home took a couple of us through 0.0, and one lucky member got some special sight seeing on their return trip.
I managed to run 3 gate camps, two with T2 ships at them. So it was a success just getting home!
The Fw4ppers are becoming dangerous quickly!

Fw4ppers weekly training will be moved to Thursday this week, to allow more members to attend. We will be mining Jaspet in Hoth. Please bring a miner/hauler/rat fighting rig to support the efforts, as we need much zyd for the Battlecruisers that will be awarded upon graduation into 5punkorp. All graduating members will recieve one upon competent ability to fly one and completion of training requirements, (which we're not telling you).
Hope to see you all there!

Weekly update!
Our first haul mission to support 5punkorp was a great success. We will definitely need to get voice sorted before our next run though, as we used alot of time sorting out the communication of when things were clear and safe to jump. (Which was for practice, as we went the safe route.) We also discovered that we need to practice with instas and copying them, as we had some last minute issues with them that required us to gang warp in pairs rather than having escorts jump both through the next gate, and guard the close side. (Something we'll practice on a future training op with voice!)
But we did get the cargo moved, and will look to make the future runs more profitable by picking up cheap stuff to trade in Khank!
Cheers all!

Hmm, my fault I guess for not keeping the news posted!
As most everyone in the corp's is aware, the Fw4ppers now have a POS to work out of! I'd like to keep it well seasoned with caution though, as one of our members lost a ship there today to pirates. I'll not discuss the name of the system here, and STRONGLY CAUTION others from doing the same. Letting people know where to find it is the first step to letting them blow it up. It was a bit spendy to let it get blown up.
Mostly a GINORMOUS thanks to all that helped in the effort. Launching wasn't as simple as first imagined, and the support by Mano was GREATLY appreciated. Experience ftw, no doubt!
All in all, things are going well for the corp. Now that leads us into the most important mission we have faced, Recruiting and Training. We need to grow our corp so that we can do bigger and better things. We also need to conduct routine training, so that we can share all that we have learned, and save our fellow members the expense of repeating our mistakes. Fw4ppers main role is to train members for 5punkorp, and training is best done in larger groups, (up to about 10 pilots, half with moderate experience). So getting recruits in, helping them realize their goals that fit with corp needs, and getting them into the riches that 5punkorp can offer. This will grow the combined corp's ranks to levels that can support higher levels of activity, and inevitably become profitable for all, while increasing opportunities for advancement within the world of Eve!
Fw4ppers is currently looking for a training 'Director' said person must conduct weekly training for varying levels of members. (Idea in the works is to have 4 weekly courses, ranging from Noobish to more 5punky) Since members will vary greatly in the scope of what they hope to get from Eve, some members will not need direct supervision, whereas others will need support.
Payment for this role will be shares of Fw4ppers Stock.
Prospective applicants should submit a training plan to Dres, who will copy it to all of the directors of 5punkorp for review.
In other news, we have been doing well in recruitment and retention lately, with two trial accounts converted to paying members. Long may Fear Not and Elotane share in the joy that is 5punkorp/Fw4ppers!
*****FIX'D to reflect what Friz mentioned, and I was not clear enough on****

Good work Dres and a hearty congratulations to all the Fw4ppers. It's really good to see this fledgling training corp coming on so well. It is however the irony of any training corp that your best and brightest will be taken from you just as they develop to full potential...it is after all 5punkorp that needs those great pilots to realise our dream of greatness. Graduation day is fast approaching for some of you and should you wish to move to 5punkorp and face the trials, challenges and great riches that await in Central Catch, I will be running the Final Fw4pper Classes as needed.
