Pub Crawl

Post by Dog Pants »

The Malton Good Beer Guide is starting to get out of date, what with all the zombies, and someone suggested we do a pub crawl to update it. Are we to go to the pubs as a group, or bomb-burst and bring back reports?

Once done we could put the reports either on the 5punk Wiki page, or create/edit a Wiki entry for each pub.

There's a lot of them, so this may take a while and I fully expect us to get bored and start doing something else before we finish, but hey - that's 5punk!

I suppose we could go in a convoy - But there's always the chance some people get left behind, so we'll have to wait for each person to catch up before moving on (Which is not a bad thing, of course!)

Or we could assign (Or choose) three or four pubs each per person, and report back our own findings to the guide. Each sound good, but the first would probably provide more hilarity :)

If we're gonna do it we should do it all together as will be safer.. and more fun!!

As long as we have a route then we all know where the next pub is, wait till everyone is there then stagger on to the next one

Should be a laugh, nothing much else to do now the seige is over!

How about pubs in zombie-hot zones?
We might have to wait a couple weeks to stock up on syringes first.
Stay for three or four days in each pub and sample its brews!

I'm up for a pub crawl, doing it together would be better I think. Just let me know when and where. :ahoy:

Well in terms of an arranged date and time to all head out at the same time.. it's just not gonna happen, we're not an organised attack hoard of zombies, we're a bunch of lazy disorganised alcoholics!

I think we should plan a route, and as Grimmie says, stay in each one for a few days to give everyone a chance to join in and properly review the place

I started a beer guide page so we can review each pub we go to!

http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The ... Beer_Guide

(Edit: oops I missed that DP suggested this in his first post up there, we could create a page for each pub and have the beer guide page as a central resource)

If someone can give me the no-go areas (such as the heavily infested ridleybank and dunnel hills) then I suppose I can start planning a route and singling out some pubs to go visit.

Well I can suggest starting at the Acott Arms... bit of a no brainer that one, and I reckon we should have a hit and run pub visit in Ridleybank, it would make for a funny review!

This is usually a good indication, looks a bit out of date though

Edit: There are 5 pubs in Ridleybank, reckon we could tour them all?

My zombie could visit the Ridleybank ones, and write the review in Zambah.

Pppfftt. Yes! A good idea!
I might send Liberarche off to help your zambah review the infested areas.
I think everyone interested in the pub crawl should state so NOW, so we know who to wait for at each stop.

OK- I am huddled in a corner of the Acott with a pint, awaiting the crawl.

As Berk said, I'm already at the Acott and I've got the first round in. Only alco-pops here so I got everyone Smirnoff Ice as it seems the least offensive of the bunch. I've also jumped in and put a review on the Wiki page ('cos I wanted to stick my oar in early).
