Server changes

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

I've taken away the coloured smoke nade mod from the server as it was a bit shit.

Also, snipers are now back in the selection list. :w00t:

Which brings me onto my next question.
Do you like the mod that is currently loaded onto the server?
The only thing I like about it is the ability to run, but if a small mini mod was loaded that just enabled you to run, would that be good enough, and then we could remove the awe mod alltogether?

it'd be worth looking at updating the awe mod if we're gonna keep it.

also remember the awe mod fixes a lot of stuff like the health regain which is fucked up in multiplayer

It suits the way we play to have heads popping off and other sillyness I think. As for the running, I never use it because you have to use the 'Use' key, which is awkward for me to reach while running, and it also causes you to pick up any weapon you run over. If a different mod would let me map it seperately to my shift key that'd be nice.

Also, has anyone released Quarantine for COD2 yet? I miss capture the bath.

Yes, although it would be better if you could boot the heads around. I do use the run as it is, and find it quite useful.

Is there a "mein pants are cold" mod yet?

The only mod I really feel I need is the cookable grenades.
I quite like the silly head-popping, apart from the sound them make on the floor!

it looks like there's a far more updated version of the awe mod with some extra modes.

Last Team Standing (LTS) and Hold the Flag (HTF)

if people are interested, i'll stick it on and get it tested before the game

Oh.

Fuck.

Yes.

// Models to use for the crush TK punishment
// NOTE! Every model increases the size of the gamestate, a too large gamestate will crash clients and/or server
set awe_crush_model7 "furniture_frenchbathtubporcelain"

Edit: Roight. i stuck it on, all seems close enough to before, there's 2 extra toys:

Random mortar fire
TK Punishment should result in a teabagging by a bath, dunno how this works yet.

if it breaks stuff, it'll take a whole 30 seconds to reset to previous. :)

Yay, I'm looking forward to someone getting crushed by a bath, but I have absolutely no clue how that's gonna work.

Also, I have played HTF on another server, and it was really really good.
Could we also try out this gametype as well?

I just find TDM week in week out very boring on COD2.

*Crawls in front of it, hiding behind sandbags*

*Stands up in line of fire*

*Gets TKd*

*Laughs as MGer gets squashed by a bath*
