If you head on down to Khank (that's not it's full name, but it'll only bring up one system when you seach for it), dock in the station there, of which there is one, then find the corp tag on the station bar, find 5punkorp on that and click apply. Also, come join us in channel "x-5punkers". We shall bum you forcefully, then give you free iskies :)

Lord only knows where our illustrious CEO has disappeared to. Last I spoke to him, he and I were talking about a 5punky induction programme - kinda like a Tutorial Part 2, but more fun. With an influx of recruits, we need someone to dedicate some time to answering the questions and getting them up to speed with ships, skills fits and stuff - remembering that we can now build a fair number of basic frigs with complete fits.

I seem to remember putting together the beginnings of a programme on one of these posts, but I've know idea where it is now... :?

Here's a start then:

New members talk to us!

Eve's a difficult game to pick up, and by taking to those who've been playing it for a while you'll not only pick the game up easier but also you'll get involved with the corp, which is the real meat of the game.

Would it be acceptable to post our EVE chat channel on here for new players to join in to ask questions? Also, it may be advisable to help them off the ground before inducting them into the corp with the war target as close to Khank as I saw yesterday. Otherwise the security of Empire may not be as secure as just being a free-wheeling noob.

Just some thoughts to keep us thinking.... :)

Sweet, a willing vict....Volunter :)

your looking at about 3 days training basic to run a corp. that'd be 30 members (corporate management 3) and 80% of em allows to be a different race to yourself (Ethnic Relations 4). Should be more than plently for a training corp :)

Posted this on the other forum at first, but since we're talking about the same thing:

I've been thinking on it and I reckon you will be perfect for the role as Senior Mentor, Dres, simply because of the time difference It means we can get good coverage of our sleepy tiem (even Hehulk has to sleep sometime albeit at very strange intervals ) and coincidentally you come on usually at our peak period - late night Eve time. Also because of your level you will be more patient with the recruits than some of us, because we're all busy worrying about POS fuel and building spreadsheets So waddya think? Happy to take on the job?

Edit: gonna startup a new sticky on this forum (it should not be on the hidden forum simply cos it is for new starters).

I'd be more than happy to help the corp out by training/mentoring its new recuits!

Thanks for trusting me with such an important task!

Just so you know, I made a new character called Sam Berris, who I'll be playing permanently. No real reason, other than that for some reason I can never play an RPG with the first character I create :)

I know the feeling. Rather annoyingly this time round I'd been playing for too long to go back and redo my main character...solution? Pay for a second account :)

Does this mean you'll be playing a bit now? Or are you still busy for a few months? :?

Oh and one other thing, would you be willing to join our training corp, Fw4ppers, for the first few weeks while you learn the ropes? It is not comulsory by any means and you are more than welcome to come straight to 5punkorp. But you might find it easier to play there and avoid the war targets and stuff until you are happier with everything.
