I just realised something
I have three computers, if I include my laptop. Does that mean I should have three Eve accounts?
Or would that just be silly? I'd need to invest in a new mouse though. Eve with a touchpad...

Isn't that against the EULA? And the other problem being that usually I am at work tooamblin wrote:Or I could give you my login (after I've changed the password from my internet banking one obviously!) and you can use the Fea account as a mining gimp whilst I'm at work...

Friz, I was thinking of something on those lines too! I only travel with my laptop, but the second account could be awesome for a 'true' alt. One that could train, not have corp or alliance affiliation, (read: not able to get ganked in empire during wars!), and most likely could be good for pvp without dragging 5punkorp into any future wars! The only downside is the cost, which isn't that much, really..... So I thinks I'm going to start one on the 14 day trial thing, and see if it's worth keeping after that!
3 might be a bit much though, with two alt's each... you could be your own corp then!

Don't joke. I'm sure there are many out there who do just that. Hehulk and I did very similar things with our second accounts: trained up a pure industrial character. Both Silver Light and Manorina are straight miners and builders. It takes approx 4 - 6 weeks from scratch to get into a Medium Barge with strip miners and then another couple of weeks to get strip miner 2's sorted. Then you start on the production skills, learning, and then back to mining till you get the big barge. 3 months or so and you have an uber-care bearcenterededgedesign wrote:... you could be your own corp then!
I've just sidetracked for a couple of days to train the lezzer to fly a Badger 2 (despite her being Gallente but it's so she can fly the stuff I already have - and we have a BPO) and also so she can fly kestrels (almost incidental anyway) and do some missions to get standings up in the station (=less tax on refining stuff).
I'm not suggesting you do the same if you start another character. I think we probably have enough already. What I would suggest however is that you use the knowlegde you now have to make sure you choose the correct startup attributes carefully and then beeline for something. You'll no doubt be playing your 'main' a lot more, so you can afford to let the 'alt' sit in station training for weeks (Manorina didn't move for about 4 weeks IIRC)

Hey! I've got a PSU on order, should be arriving tommorow. Keep away you!friznit wrote:/me mutters something about stealing accounts from people who's computers are currently fubar'd and going to war with himself
Can I say oops? I know at least 4 people have theoritical access to my various acccounts (me, fab, fea and friz). Even if you don't remeber the passwords. Ah well. I'ts a fairly common breach of the EULA. I suppose it's just so people can't bitch at CCP when people use that knowledge to knick characters from one accouts etcamblin wrote:friznit wrote:Isn't that against the EULA?So it is... Arsecakes. Just shows how well I read the EULA!
