It strikes me that developing a planet-destroying superweapon to get rid of the Rebellion is like using a nuke to resolve a guerilla war. Not sure why they're as worried as they are. Still, I continue to love the look of this. Wonder how they'll realise the Bothan reference from EpIV.

Those bits look good, but some I've seen, such as Titan vs Titan fighting look a bit..Power Rangers.
Because it's cheaper to have guys in rubber suits fighting and do touch up effects in CGI than to CGI the whole thing.

That looks good. I'm in a nice position where I've seen the Manga version and recognise some of the scenes and characters, but won't notice any differences that might spoil it for hardcore fans. Looking forward to this.

From the scenes in that trailer, some are direct reproductions from the original, which I'd imagine are early scenes and it'll diverge a bit later. Good thing is that the original anime's director has been heavily involved in it, so I'm cautiously thinking it might actually turn out really well.
