Re: Payday 2
Payday is such a ballache at the lower levels when you don't have the cool toys to play with. Back up to level 40 now but still another dozen of levels or so away from being able to be useful (ie, ECM'ing doors and having the ECM timings maxed out.
On the flip side, sunglasses and a playing card

ITT: Buzz fails at actions that can be completed effectively using lynx running on a warmed up brick.

Re: Payday 2
Surprised that Clover is seperate DLC, that's an interesting choice considering John Wick wasn't wanted or liked. I wonder if it'll be on sale over Christmas, or in the New Year.
Looking forward to the new heist though, so will be interesting to see if it's worth 7 dorrah on its own.

It will be after the next DLC comes out, as usual.

Re: Payday 2
Well now, Clover gets an L-85, a big stick and her own Perk deck called Burglar, which seems to be very much stealth oriented with the description mentioning bonuses to pager time amongst others. Be interesting to see what the actual heist adds tomorrow.
Re: Payday 2
I'm a sucker for an L85.

Ooh.
I hope they made it nice and accurate, be a nice option for stealth.

Re: Payday 2
Double ooh. Not much information on the heist, but they've added a multi-build feature for skills. You can apparently build 5 sets and flick between them between heists.

Thank fuck! Finally!

£5 and £4, that's acceptable enough.

Dear everyone else in the industry.
Make things people want (but don't need to keep up/play with friends), sell it for a reasonable price.

Re: Payday 2
Just looked at the in-game stats for the L-85, base stats are a bit good. Be interesting to see what the attachments can do to it, but I certainly see it replacing all the 5.56mm rifles for loud heists.
Skills + Perkdeck loadout look goods. However, you can only unlock 4 normally (I've got two, game tells me numbers 3 and 4 are level 75 and 100 respectively).
The fifth requires level 100 and the Tabula Rasa achievement, which sounds fucking nails:
Edit: Heists and Clover pack bought. Using my £25 lottery win for something useful!

Guns and suits are fine, no skills means perk deck bonuses only. Fucking hell.Tabula Rasa
In the Hoxton Breakout job, complete the heist on OVERKILL difficulty or above with each crew member using no skills, wearing suits, wielding Golden AK.762 rifles and Chicago Typewriter submachine guns.

It appears delightfully fun. Some Indiana Jones skills required to get the Diamond :D

Re: Payday 2
It's still a bit too pricey considering extra heists have were usually free until recently. I don't play it enough to warrant spending money, but I worry that players like me will be excluded by not having DLC rather than just not having extra faces/guns.Dr. kitteny berk wrote:£5 and £4, that's acceptable enough.

Re: Payday 2
It does seem a bit pricey for a single heist and a character. I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come, sneaky price upgrades rarely lead to good things.
