Re: Movie Trailers
Clone troopers were regarded as somewhat untrustworthy after order 66, only high level ones tend to still be around, storm troopers are random enlistees iirc, with fairly basic training from the little that I've read of the expanded universe.
I like the sword, a bit rough and ready to show a self-taught attempt maybe?

Re: Movie Trailers
I thought it looked like a zweihander, which was kind okay in a brutal sort of way. Just the knowledge that Lucas isn't involved is enough to paper over a multitude of minor sins.

You'll like it even more to know that Lawrence Kasdan, the chap who co-wrote Empire and RoTJ (and also wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark and er, The Bodyguard) co-wrote this with JJ Abrams.Dog Pants wrote:Just the knowledge that Lucas isn't involved is enough to paper over a multitude of minor sins.
Edit: Someone posted this gif of the X-Wings on another forum: http://i.imgur.com/RqjPkx2.gif

Or you could use http://i.imgur.com/RqjPkx2.gifv which is only 590k, rather than 10mb, our embed doesn't seem to like it though.

Re: Movie Trailers
I predict much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the fans when Tirmynator Gynysys is released.

Re: Movie Trailers
Well, I'm not taking a film about naked time-travelling robots from the future serious anyway so I can watch this and maybe even enjoy it. I don't understand why they're trying to mimic Terminator 2 though, is it to lure in nostalgic people?

Re: Movie Trailers
Terminator Mashup - I saw bits from all four movies redone in there, the best bits typically. I though it was a reimagining of all of them in one at first, but when there's time travel involved you can do that, still remain canon and call it a sequel. Could be good - all the good bits (the one-liners with a twist, good vs bad Terminators, kickass SC, hopefully no happy ending) and not the bad bits (JC as a kid, wimpy SC, dragged-out endings). It's up there in my top five franchises and I really enjoyed how they messed with the histoy in Chronicles although that ran out of steam rather towards it's end, so anything new that shakes it up a bit is fine by me.

Re: Movie Trailers
Ergh, what? That trailer has thrown me.
I can't help but think that is either paradoxical, or would just nullify the chain of events that would lead to said events happening.
Might be interesting, but I'm slightly worried it might just be cherry picking the awesome stuff from the previous films as one big mashup.

Re: Movie Trailers
This is nothing like GTA: San Andreas, but I guess Dwayne Johnson and Carl Johnson are both Johnsons. Yep.

I still don't have a clue what the film is about but that trailer is insane and it's beautiful.
