Lets all go to Mars.
To paraphrase a friend of mine: I am extremely excited at the prospect that we might get humans on another planet in my lifetime.

Blimey. How long do they reckon it would take to get there?

It will take about three years with the current propulsion technologies. Maybe in that mythical 15 year timeframe they can cut that in half.Dog Pants wrote:Blimey. How long do they reckon it would take to get there?

Presumably a one-way trip and the internet and takeaway coverage is almost as bad as in Wales. It'd be pretty amazing to stand on another planet. Hopefully the neighbours would be alright.

I guess I was off, it should only take roughly 8-9 months to get to Mars if you launch during the optimal launch window. The window only happens every 2 years or so; I think I was adding those together in my head.
