Yeah that gibs the one who just spanged Hal. The rest of the cannibals are making for a gap in the ruined buildings at speed. If you don't want to chase them or anything then we can come out of bullet time.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
I assume Hal is not badly injured in any way requiring actual medical attention yes?
If no, let's keep going. Onward HO!

I'll re-load Bertha and go check to see if our face is hurt, and what the horrible child-like creature was. Some sort of weird camouflage mutation, or was he just wearing the skin of a tiny person?Grimmie wrote:What the fuck was that thing?
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Nah, just a really ugly, possibly inbred kid. Mid-teens maybe, looking at the face but small compared to a normal kid. The cannibals you bagged are pretty similar, just bigger.

I keep meaning to check how badly mangled that made me and never getting around to it. Dont think its *too* bad though.
Hal will give one of the corpses a quick shoeing on his way past. Onwards!

Onwards?
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Sorry. Baby woes, I'd got completely distracted. You press on, presumably returning to the river route you were taking and leaving the dead cannibals to be consumed by whatever nasties are lurking around. Or their mates, whichever. Deject, assuming you're still at the front please make a detect roll.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
In the shadow of a leaning building you spot something a little out of place, a strap of webbed nylon with a buckle sticking out from under a small slab of fallen wall. There's all kinds of junk and debris lying around the sector, but this is noteworthy because it looks exactly like the strap which comes with a FEN AR, right down to the grey FEN logo running through it. Course most Ops don't use it in favour of a maghold, but it's pretty unmistakable to anyone who's owned one.

Hey I own a FEN AR!
I don't suppose switching to IR or UV will be of much benefit in this situation will it?

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Depends on what you're hoping to achieve. It's still fairly light, but I'll assume you flick through them both quickly. UV doesn't make any difference, but with IR you can see that the lump of concrete the strap is poking out from under is notably warmer than the rest of the environment.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
My idea is mostly just to see if I can discern a body or something.
I will try to approach with much sneakiness.
Sneak (4): 8, 5 + 4 = 17
Hide (4): 2, 4 + 4 = 10

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Nothing indicates a body, dead or alive. The slab is only a couple of feet across anyway. You approach without incident, the strap looks faded and dirty, like it's been there a while.

A closer visual inspection is in order I think.
Detect (5): 7, 2 + 5 = 14

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Might be a vent under there, with heat coming from an underground room or something? Don't know why there would be a gun strap sticking out mind.
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
It's a common or garden lump of concrete with a strap sticking out from under it.

Lift it up deject! We will watch from a safe distance. I'll stand behind the stormer. I ... er... get a better view from there. Yes.
