Zombie infection

What skills/items do you need for infections from Zombies?

So far I've relied on others healing me but I'd like to do it myself as well.
Also, do you get EXP for healing people?

You just need to heal yourself with a medkit to cure the infection, no skills required,

And you do get some XP for healing others not sure how much, which is why Diagnosis is handy. None for healing yourself though.

You get 5xp per medikit, regardless of how many hp you heal.

That's quite a bit of EXP actually, more than I thought, maybe I should start searching for some medikits.

I am the medkit whore! I've levelled up nicely without shooting a single zombie. Well actually I unloaded 4 shotguns and 2 pistols at a zombie the other day and not a single bullet made contact, back to healing people.

The other advantage of using medkits to gain XP is that it's very easy to find them in hospitals - unlike searching for ammo in police depts which is quite frankly a pain in the fucking arse.

I get all my ammo from the gun shop in the mall now. Shopping has been the best skill I've bought (bar Free Running of course)
