We can't send it much further than that currently because of insect clouds, or so I'm told. Given how many pilots we drag out of there it might be best you enter quietly anyway, but I'm no expert. It is available for extraction, but again that's dependent on the conditions. You should take a thumper beacon if you want to call it in.

I almost want to go to this guy's house to see if there's anything we can get on him that might make "negotiations" run more smoothly, but he's a higher SCL than us and we're not on an investigation mission. I suppose we should probably just suit up, find our Frother, and go climb on the Kilcopter.

They're large, with a hull like a modern military transport aircraft and a fat turbine either side to give it lift. You could probably fit two jeeps in it, and this one is empty. Okay, lets crack on. The Kilcopter doesn't have much in the way of windows so you don't really see anything until you land. As you emerge from the ramp you find yourself on top of one of the stations which punctuate the Cannibal Sector walls, a large concrete fortress, probably ten stories high, which offers a clear view of both Cannibal Sector 4 and the unfortunate nearby area of Downtown on the other side. You can't see far into the Cannibal Sector - it's dawn, the clouds are heavy, and you can see rippling patterns of darker clouds under the ever present rain clouds. Down on the ground you see no movement, only the skeletal remains of the city which have been abandoned for hundreds of years. This close to the wall it resembles a War World, the rotting concrete riddled with bullet scars and larger craters full of water cover the shattered ground. This particular station perches above a river, and when the wall's searchlights pass over it you catch the rainbow sheen of the chemicals and pollution as it slowly makes its way into the Sector. The faint vapours can be smelled intermingled with the stomach-wrenching stench of the Cannibal Sector.

The helipad is exposed, buffeted by wind and rain, with only the small block covering a stairwell as shelter. The door is open and you can see the silhouetted of a figure in a raincoat and hat in the doorway.

The chap in the doorway beckons you inside out of the rain and turbine wash. In the light you can see he's a Shiver administrator, with the zig-zag logo on his coat and hat. He leads you down through the busy, bunker-like complex as he talks.

Mr Marlow has asked me to assist you in exiting to the Sector. You can take a foot gateway if that's how you're going. It's like an airlock. With flamethrowers in. This station has a river exit too if you have someone who can pilot a riverboat. I'm not sure which is worse, personally. Within sight of the wall you'll have cover from our gunners, after that there's not a lot we can do to help. Your radios will probably work for about half a kilometer unless you get somewhere high. All the steel and concrete at ground level plays hell with the transmissions. Your thumpers should be fine, and we have receivers tuned to pick them up and triangulate them. Marlow says that Kilcopter is on standby, weather permitting, so we'll relay the signal on. There's nobody else out there today so we'll know it's you. You can grab some cans of wall wash here if you like, charged to your accounts of course. I hear the other Sectors are quite bad for nasties like moulds and mites, but Four isn't too bad. You'll probably be okay without it unless you go paddling in the river. Insect swarms are heavy today because the rain has disturbed them, but the storm's moving away later in the morning so it should clear up. Don't go up high if they''re around a building, they'll clog up your respirators and you really don't want to breathe the air unfiltered. They aren't the big ones today though so you should be okay otherwise.

The elevator he's led you into clunks to a halt.

Here we are. Now, I'm no Sector Ranger, but I've given this brief enough times to know the score out there. Get back before night time, they'll stay out of sight mostly during the day. Don't make too much noise. Small groups will be scared of armoured Ops, but be careful. If they think they can get the jump on you they will, and they know the lie of the land. Don't let the peace distract you - there are thousands of them underground and they know they can overwhelm with weight of numbers.
