Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Does this need an existing SLA char, or are noobs able to join in?
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
You can join in if you like, we've only about 4 active characters. I'll bump you up a bit to match the rest of the squad. The 1st edition rule book is free now and not any real departure from the reprint which is the current version, but it's in the beardy dropbox. Check out the (old) wiki for help with character creation here and give me a nudge on Steam if you need a hand, or start a new thread for it for help from the group.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Ive stuck a copy of the SLA character generator I made in the 5punkybeards folder if people are wanting to make doods. Bear in mind that its only really any good for making the character, its not really made for keeping track of the character you are playing. Use it, then copy what you make into a proper character sheet.

Cheers Joose, will get on it asap. Doggers, any particular Race or Skills needed to help the story along or am I free to wing it?
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Of course. Six is a good number. Seven actually if everyone who played the last BPN played (I miscounted somewhere I think). I'm not entirely sure who's still in given the time between BPNs though so overfilling might help move things along. I think Roman is busy during the week but I'll assume he'll be chipping in when he can unless stated otherwise. TSD, Deject, are you dusting your characters off?Grimmie wrote:Em's interested, can the group stretch to six?
We've a reasonable balance between investigators and combat specialists at the moment with Hal being hard investigation, Dirk capable at both, Deject for recon, Grimmie ranged support and Eraser close support. So you're probably fine to go with whatever you want. Have a think about what you want to do more of, fighting (dice rolling and tactics) or investigting (talking and detective work) and concentrate on that, but it's worth keeping a secondary role in the other to give you something to do. Suggestions from the group are welcome.TheJockGit wrote:Cheers Joose, will get on it asap. Doggers, any particular Race or Skills needed to help the story along or am I free to wing it?
Regarding race, by the way, pretty much anything other than Human will single you out as a Operative. In case you fancy the undercover investigator route.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
If we have had enough time since the last BPN for Eraser to have had his armour fixed, he's in.
Or if the repair shop can give him a loaner?
Failing that I have one of my many secondary characters of a Brain Waster Sector Ranger, if you want to tell me what I get to bump his level?

I am totally in! I'm the Catman, Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop.
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Last BPN ended 9th Nov (I've no idea how days and months are represented in SLA so I use normal dates and SLA years). You can have as long as you like, and your monthly outgoings aren't due for a while yet, but the gap is usually a week or so. If you've no preference say 16th Nov.
By my records Eraser has 279c, although that might be well out of date. I don't know how much damage you took but you can repair ID at 5c per point and you got 200c from the last BPN. if you're still short you could petition one of the others (hint: Ebons don't pay for armour repair or ammo ) or get a loan from the firm at very reasonable rates.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
How much damage did my armour take? It was all electrical wasn't it (still not sure how the ceramic plating conducted electricity but hey )
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
It was 8 ID (4 to an arm, 2 to each leg) caused by the electricity passing through the insulation of your armour on its way in and out. According to the old BPN thread.

Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Both look to be more recent that the character sheets I have, so we'll go with that. The latest I have says 9.6, so a +0.5 from the last BPN would add up to what you have there. There's no XP on my copy so I'll take your word for it. Sorry, my admin is shite. I'd like to say it's because I post over three different devices, only one of which is any good for beards, but I think it's more likely I just lose track.
Re: SLA Industries: Cannibal Heart
Bear with us here, there's characters being created. While we wait, can we work off character sheets in Dropbox? That way we all work from the same sheet rather than me and the players having different versions of their character sheets. Anyone need access let me (or anyone who does) know, and chuck your sheet in there. If I have something more up to date I'll replace it. Cheers!
